Quote:Donte Fowler 6'2 261 nice

Randy Gregory 6'4 235 ouch, I was down on him, but he's way too small for LEO for of a 3-4 OLB, pass

Shane Ray 6'2 245, more thicker

Vic Beasley 6'3 246, he put on weight nice, bigger then I thought
The more research and film I watch on Fowler, the more I like him. He also just crushed his interview at the podium.

Fowler or Leonard Williams for me. I'd be ok with either one.

Perfect for a ZBS ORT.
Lol who cares what an OL runs in the 40

Quote:Reports are now saying that Gregory played the season at Nebraska at 218. That's mind-boggling. That's Telvin's weight for a guy that's 6'6.
wow yea he's gonna fall, just too risky, undersized, under preformed last year, plus not as much a motor guy like Ray, Fowler and Williams

Caldwell just stated that they will consider a skill position like RB or WR in the 2nd only if the right player falls to their spot.

I think the 40 time will be telling on Dante Fowler and may cause him to fall a bit from the lofty heights he currently resides.

Glad he said that, I really wanna get one of these RB's before their all gone, too many people on this board are saying we shouldnt draft a RB until like the 5th round, we need an impact RB with our young QB, and not trying to catch lighting in a bottle a find and gem late in the draft

If we are after a rookie RT, then I really feel this is our man in round two.

I'd wait till the 4th personally, and it sounds like Caldwell might as well, but there's no denying the possibility of a back they like falling to them and making it tough to wait that long.  I'd be fine with that scenario.

FWIW -   He also expressed confidence in Denard and Storm from the podium today and said they'd keep 4 RBs.

I have been investigating exactly when should the Jags take a RB. I was on the Tevin Coleman train until I saw how small his hands are. I like Duke Johnson, but is he really that much different than Shoelace?

So I am thinking that the Jags really may like David Johnson out of Northern Iowa. He may be more like Adrian Foster of the Texans and the thought is he could be available at the top of Rd 4.

Of course if Caldwell had a handful of extra picks, then Caldwell could get the guys he wants by trading up for him.

I am certainly on the Johnson train. He impressed me at the Senior Bowl and seeing how Bradley and the staff got to work with him, I could really see us targeting him if Bradley and staff liked him.

Agreed.

Dante Fowlre is there as a defensive end, but also working out as a linebacker. Which position he plays in the NFL determines how important the 40-yard dash is because linemen never run that farr. I think after everyone knows which position he is better at they will not worry as much about that time. Not saying it is useless; it is just not as important to a pass rusher as a cornerback IMO.

Tight end is more important than running back right now. If a tight end we like is available at #36, you pick him. If someone asks us to trade up, I still want a tight end. A running back should never be the position we trade up for before a more urgent need is fixed. But David Caldwell was smart to say if a running back falls in our lap, he is worth considering and I will not be mad if #36 is Todd Gurley.

The perfect size for an offensive lineman. He must be by far the biggest player in his category.

JJ Watt-esque.

Hoping he shows good in the shuttle, three cone, and 10 yard split.
