***The official NFL combine thread***

#1

Its that time of year again. Feel free to post all things related to the combine here. Players are flying in today and will start orientation and medicals tomorrow. I'll start the thread off with some MMQB.

Here's the full schedule for each position group.

But most people know to only type three on each side.

I actually have not thought about anything today except how to start my own official thread tomorrow because players are not even in Indianapolis yet.

Since everyone is going to post about the combine here, I will add to it.

Everything you need to know about the combine is at the official website, including the schedule, descriptions of workouts, and list of players who were invited.

Well, there is one thing I can't figure out from this site: if I can watch it free on my desktop PC. Mom canceled TV until Labor Day to save money.

Don't be. TV coverage starts on February 20.

If you want to see A.J. Johnson, forget about it. His invitation was revoked.

And what can be more entertaining than 300+ lb. men sprinting 40 yards?

Watching a 200+ pound man sprint 40 yards, of course

Those are the guys who need to run that far down the field anyway.

Some good guys to keep an eye on when thinking of the Jags:

MJF, I was making a joke about the absurdity of some of the tests. I know that the 40 is more applicable to what the smaller players actually do. However, you can see small guys sprint almost anywhere. Where else do you go to see guys with bellies hauling it down the track?

The 10-yard dash is not absurd, just the longer runs. It measures quickness and burst off the snap and acceleration.

However it is fun to watch them and Rich Eisen at the same time, being the slowest players who run 40 yards.

So he has Shaq Thompson converting to Safety?

Shaq Thompson is too small to play outside linebacker in the NFL. He would get burned by a 300-pound tackle.

Is Telvin Smith too small play outside linebacker? Because Shaq is bigger than him.

So you're not having any TV, until Labor Day?

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
