Jameis throws a damn beautiful ball. The Bucs are lucky to get him.

Bryce Petty has a cannon for an arm. Helping his draft stock today with his workouts.

I don't think this is a very good draft for pas rushers. The best is a DT in Leonard Williams. The rest are probably best suited to be OLBs. I don't expect Dante Fowler to run that fast. He is a nice talent, perhaps even a Top 10 talent in this draft class, but he is not the 3rd best player available.
On the other hand, I fully expect that Kevin White is deemed a Top 5 pick off of today's performance and in that top 5 is Amari Cooper and White is a flat out better prospect than Cooper. If the Jags want to trade out of Pick 3, then it will be for either Mariota, (which I think the Titans take) or for Kevin White who is a true No 1 WR like Dez Bryant, A.J. Green or Calvin Johnson. That is elite company. Kevin White will not make it out of the Top 5 because he is a SUPERIOR TALENT and he showed it all season long. We just were not paying attention. With how great the top QBs are looking, Williams keeps sliding our way.

I was paying attention to White. Actually many people did, I think Daniel Jeremiah had him as the #1 WR even before the combine. I like him a lot.. he just basically confirmed his gametape, nothing more. 4.35 is great and he's got great size. He will need to learn to run good routes though. If he makes our #3 selection more valuable - great. I do think we don't really need to go WR. I think we have 3 guys with #1 potential on our roster - let them develop. I hope its Williams as our pick. If not, I'd be happy with trade-down and a number of players, including Fowler, Ray, Gregory, etc.

Matt Jones even 10 years later had one of the best combines of all time.

Just think what Kevin White and Julius Thomas would do for the Jags WR Corps?
Mayock compares him to Larry Fitzgerald, another Julio Jones. Anyway you look at it, the Jags need to consider the BAP and not trade the pick just because they can trade the pick. If the Jags can get another Rd 1 pick in 2016, plus a Rd 1 and a Rd 2 pick in 2015, then fine, but I am telling you Kevin White is the dominant WR in this class and is head and shoulders better than the Cooper and Parker. Kevin White rivals Leonard Williams as the best talent in the draft class.

People dog the pick for obvious reasons but Matt Jones wasnt a bust because he wasnt talented enough... or because the combine over inflated his value. If he had the desire of a guy like Julian Edelman or Wes Welker, he would have been an amazing NFL player. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Jake Fisher has been a good prospect far longer than yesterday. He's more than just a 'combine superstar' he's a big, versatile, athletic guy that I'd be glad to see in black and teal.
Caldwell is a damn liar if he thinks Bortles was the best qb prospect in last year draft and this one. Not even close. If they dont sign Cobb I'd take either Williams or White with Williams a little ahead in the race.
David Johnson from UNI is another guy like at RB. I don't know where he gets taken but I remember watching him against Iowa and being surprised at how well he runs.
