***The official NFL combine thread***

Quote:Everybody knew we were gonna draft a QB, unless Clowney feel, people just thought we may trade back since Teddy Stock kinda fell with the bad pro day, and Johnny Football had a lot of questions, and Bortles was raw. The pick wasnt that out of left field, there is no CB worth taking that high, its gonna be one of the DL/LB or trade back.
Almost nobody expected Bortles to be the pick.

Not at 3, but we knew we were going QB, people just fell for the Manziel hype, it wasnt an out of left field position

No, most people didn't think we're going QB in round 1.

In the draft?  Sure.  But most people had us taking Sammy Watkins or Khalil Mack.

The more I see of Leonard Williams the more impressed I get. 300 lbs. and moves like a cat. Scary looking man right there.

Leonard Williams is what people made Clowney out to be. He is a freak of nature prospect that will cause havoc all over the line. If he is available, even if there is a trade down opportunity, he should be the jaguars pick.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

The crazy thing is that he doesn't LOOK 300 lbs. Everyone I see him, I'm stunned by how fit he looks.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

@RosterWatch: We've watched live WR drills inside Lucas for 5 yr now- names of others we've seen that came to mind watching Kevin White = Blackmon/Watkins

I think the same thing when I'm watching him. Probably one of the fittest 300 pounders I've ever seen. Officially ran the 40 under 5 seconds as well. He may turn out better than Clowney.

So far this couldn't have worked out better for us.

Mariota killed it so hopefully someone trades up for him with the Titans and then we get Leonard.

Maxx Williams ran a 4.71 which isn't amazing so he could fall to the second now.

Leonard and Maxx.... Lookin good in teal BABAY.

Wow Bud Dupree 6'4 269 ran a 4.57

He's a natural 3/4 OLB since he played that in college, he could play Otto or LEO in our defense

I'm loving this draft, we can get an elite player at 3 or trade back and still get an elite pass rusher

Williams

Fowler

Ray

Gregory

Beasley

Dupree

gotta come away with one of those guys

Looking at the law of averages, only half of those guys will pan out. You better make sure you get the right guy.

Those are almost EXACT Tony Brackens measurables. Same height, Brackens was 265ibs. I believe also ran a 4.57 at pro day. Wish I had a link.

Bud Dupree broke the models guys. He might be the most explosive player ever at the combine at this height/weight.....

Thats always gonna be the case, but the last 2 drafts there just wasnt nearly as good talent at this position coming into the draft

The fact hat we have a lot of choice instead of hoping you have to get this one or two guys that making it hard to trade back makes it much better

At 4.72 he's playing LB in this league.

I still think it's Williams if he's there. If not, Fowler. After that, though, it gets interesting. I didn't like Beasley during the season but he was playing light, and he's shown the ability to put on good weight. And Dupree looks good.

So I would say:

1.Williams

2A) Fowler

2B) trade to six and pick up Beasley and a 2nd.

I think Gregory and Ray are off our radar though.
