There are a lot of Gators playing at a high level in the NFL. The list can also include names like Cam Newton, Janoris Jenkins, and Aaron Hernandez if you want to list him too.

Cam Newton went to Florida? :0

Quote:If you visited the site someone so graciously posted up there to Yahoo sports showing you the Gators active players.

Some names you'll recognize, most you will scratch your head and say Who?

The players Jville posted were the ones actually relevant, mostly.

If you don't recognize the name of a player, it is because you never watched him play or read anything about him. When people started discussing pass rushers here, I only recognized one name: Dante Fowler. If you watch Gators play I guarantee you will not think, "Who is that?" when you see one of them play in the NFL. Your entire argument is based on complete ignorance and hate, not the well-known facts that are obvious to people who pay attention.

He was Tim Tebow's backup and transferred to Auburn.

Quote:But you must look at those names compared to other schools.

Every single school, even the alabamas and LSUs, will have names that you can't recognize.

You had no point.. It was a completely irrational statement, like I said earlier.

Okay, I will agree with that. For the sake of this argument ending.

But to start another one back too the comparison between Fowler and Harvey

Read both of their combine Positives and Negatives, they seem eerily similar too me.

It's very funny how they gave Harvey a comparison to Javon Kearse, that is indeed hilarious.

Not true at all, if i do not know a player it is most likely due to the fact that person is just another guy and not a starter on a team.

I know every Gator Starter on NFL teams and they definitely don't have the most.

Well, with the players from UF in the last 5 years, you can create an entire starting defense in the NFL.

DE: Fowler, Dunlap

DT: Floyd, Easley

LB: Spikes, Bostic, Jenkins

CB: Haden, Jenkins

S: Elam, Evans

And be ranked in the bottom 10? Fowler you have no idea if he can start right away and where. You have a good pair of tackles.

Your LB core is weak, with Bostic as the best player ranked #40 overall at his position.

Great first DB, and FS. Evans should not start..

NFL scouts agree with Mike Mayock: Shaq Thompson should play strong safety, not linebacker.

Really? Of course they wouldnt be a top defense. How many college football teams can claim to have an entire starting NFL defense with 5 drafts and not even be the worst defense? Alabama, Florida, and fsu?

he got booted for dealing with stolen merch, went to blinn jr college and won the championship, and then went to auburn.... and won the championship.... haha

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Gregory is a pure 3/4 outside LB, we dont run a 3/4, which would make him a bad fit, Wake is a 3/4 OLB which Miami runs

Gregory wouldnt make since at 3

Iirc he was between 255-265ish. He was 235 coming out of college though

Wake is more like IF (monumental IF) Vernon Gholston panned out.

not totally true... he went to juco and won a championship after florida iirc before transferring to auburn.

So what was this about Denzel Perryman looking good today? Mike Mayock did not like his 40 yard dash time (4.78), saying, "I thought he was faster." Perryman is a little under 5-11 and weighs only 236 pounds, so he should run faster. That is going to hurt him on April 30.

You spend too much time on NFL.com listening to Mayock.

IIRC the impression I got from twitter was none of the ILBs impressed.  Ditto the OLBs that aren't the top pass rushing prospects.

So, it's really a bad year for 4-3 teams looking for RDEs and OLBs (or even MLBs.)
