Quote:Tomorrow is Defensive Backs Day. That means we finally will learn a lot about Chris Hackett's ability to play the position in a 4-3-4 or 3-4-4 defense - something you can't see on film because TCU runs a 4-2-5 defense. The 40 yard dash will be the most important drill for him, especially the 10-yard split part of it.

I am only interested in what cornerbacks do if the Packers need them. However, if Alan Ball is not re-signed by March 9, we will need a replacement for him, so we might want to pick one late for depth.

Right now I'm not sure if there are any free safeties worth picking. Hackett maybe.

So if one of them can impress, that will be very good news because I'm not confident in us finding one in free agency.

Landon Collins

Landon Collins would be a strange pick, unless we want two Cypriens...

Watch out. You are about to break the fourth wall.

That's interesting. The falcons also requested to interview with him. (who now run the same defensive scheme).

It can't hurt to talk to him though. He did play some free safety at Alabama. But it is extremely unlikely he will be available at #36 so I am not worried about us picking a second Jonathan Cyprien.

Never hurts to interview players you could be playing against some day.

The Falcons may want to run the same defensive scheme, but they need to get the right players for it up front as well as in the back. It will be interesting to see if they copy our strategy of asking former Seahawks to move east.

Whoever we don't pick, we play against if he becomes a starter because of the NFL's scheduling format.

I was thinking of something else: talking to Landon Collins could help us work with Jonathan Cyprien because of the comparison.

No problem, I'll mostly be updating with bigger CBs and FS prospects

You forgot Drummond's height and weight.

I had never heard of Durell Eskridge, but those are not bad numbers.

Who said he decided not to run? That would have been news last weekend if it was planned.
