That's it for the third round. The fourth round starts at noon tomorrow.
If La'el Collins is available in the 4th round, the Jags may as well take a gamble on him. He's easily the BAP and if he turns out to be clean, the entire league is going to have egg on their face for rushing to judgement. If he was somehow involved, cut ties before training camp and it's like the pick never happened. The Jags' last four 4th rounders were Aaron Colvin, Ace Sanders, Cecil Shorts, and Mike Thomas. Colvin wouldn't have been a 4th rounder if not for his injury and the rest of them never did much of anything while they were here. Why not take a chance on a franchise OT, either to replace Joekel if he busts, or trade him next year for a late 1st/early 2nd?

Quote:Bryce Petty? I am surprised he has not been picked yet. He was supposed to be the third quarterback selected. The Cardinals should grab him. They are a mess at quarterback.
I think the Browns are winning the draft so far...
DT Danny Shelton OL Cam Irving OLB Nate Orchard RB Duke Johnson DT Xavier Cooper For teams with only 3 picks, Atlanta looking good... OLB Vic Beasley CB Jalen Collins RB Tevin Coleman

Collins' agent has made it known that he won't sign with any team at this point. Don't waste the pick. T.J. Clemmings has the feel of a David Caldwell pick coming up here, although I really want Ifo in the fourth round. Quote:Collins' agent has made it known that he won't sign with any team at this point. Don't waste the pick. Where do you see Clemmings fitting in here? LT? Can he play RT? Is he a good swing tackle? Ifo interests me, has there been any word on his knee? Is he going to be good to go? I found this interesting from NFL.Com's draft profile on him. SOURCES TELL US "He's tough and has ball skills. He's just being asked to go play right now but he'll get the right technique work in our league and watch how good he becomes then. He's going to be great." -- AFC South area scout I wonder which AFC South team that scout is from.
Usually they only say which conference a scout works in, not the division.
So what do you all think of the third day so far? I am catching up on the NFL.com draft tracker and see there have been a lot of trades, none involving the Jaguars.
Because this is the official 2015 NFL draft thread, I am not going to read any others that claim to be official. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Because people did not want to discuss the third day at all here, I apparently should start a new thread for each day next year.
Now that the draft is over, I will learn more about the guys we picked. I have some catching up to do. |
