Titans and Browns trade offer
|
Quote:I smell a deception program by the Titans. First, they start saying how much they like Mariota. Then, they start talking about getting calls from other teams who want to trade up for the pick. To me, it's obvious. They're trying to create demand for the pick. They don't want Mariota. They want to trade the pick. And if they can't trade the pick, they will draft Leonard Williams.Im hoping they just draft Williams We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I would trade our 3 for the 12 and 19 (plus other pick tbd) in a second. Gurley at 12 and best available WR at 19. That offense would give the d the rest they need to win games.
Only a chump boos the home team!
1010XL just reported that Tennessee wants 3 first rounders to trade out of the #2 spot. 12 and 19 wouldn't be enough to trade down even for the Jags. Cleveland would need to sweeten the pot significantly.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

If anyone makes the trade I see it being Chip and the Eagles.
Well, the Tacks didn't make the trade, and I think I am happy about that.
I don't think Mariota will be a huge success, and they still didn't address other areas of need, and didn't fortify their future with a slew of picks and players. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
Quote:Whisenhunt expects Mariota to start week 1 He should expect the #2 pick in the draft to start day one. There's a reason they had the 2nd pick in the draft.

Quote:He should expect the #2 pick in the draft to start day one. I disagree. If they feel he needs development they are in the perfect position to let him sit. Just like Bortles should have sat. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I disagree. If they feel he needs development they are in the perfect position to let him sit. Just like Bortles should have sat. This isn't the old NFL anymore where QBs picked all the way at the top of the draft sit and learn behind a veteran. When a QB gets picked at the top of the draft, it's because the team picking him is terrible and has a below average QB at the helm, hence the poor record. When you look at most of the QBs taken over the last few years, and I mean at the top of the draft, most of them do look like they need to sit and learn. What the Jags tried to do with sitting Bortles for the entire season last year, teams just don't do anymore, and as you saw last season, it didn't work then either. Teddy got taken at the end of the first round and he didn't sit the whole season either. A QB has to be taken in the later rounds, or go to a team with a good proven starter, for the team to just have him sit for an entire season or more. That's just the way today's NFL is, Qbs taken at the top of the draft will get their starting shot very early in their careers, no matter what the team says about sitting them. Both JW and Mariota will get the chance to start very early this upcoming NFL season, with JW probably starting game one and Mariota possibly game one or at least early into the season.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
Quote:This isn't the old NFL anymore where QBs picked all the way at the top of the draft sit and learn behind a veteran. The only reason he came off the bench was because how bad our offense was. If our offense was even mediocre those first few weeks, then he would have sat. When his mechanics regressed also, it showed just why sitting him was the best plan of attack. Well Gurley wouldn't have made it to us. We'd be looking at Gordon then either Agohlor, Dorsett, or Perriman.
