Explosion at Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England

I'm expecting that death toll to rise, like the boston bombing I'm pretty sure that was a dirty bomb and infections on those injured will rise very quickly

Quote:And, so...what's to be done? Stop them from "breeding"? Expel them? Bomb them? It seems the strategy of supporting authoritarian regimes who control them only inspire more generations of them...and encouragement of opposition to the tyrants either creates chaos or the return of tyranny...or both...it's a [TWO BAD WORDS REMOVED] disaster in the making, any way you shake it.

A "license to breed" is not a bad idea, and that does not only apply to radical Islamic extremists.

It's just a flat out piss up world we are part of. War sucks to begin with, but there isn't anything much more heinous than innocents being slaughtered.

Then again...have we evolved that much? The animal kingdom seems more civil.

Solutions? I'm guessing only divine intervention , if it exists.

But one thing we can agree on...it pisses us off.

Lone wolf attacks like this aren't stoppable unfortunately so that just means more security, but it got me thinking because I am attending a concert at a large venue in July. How do you prevent something like this at the perimeter around a building where there is no security? Where does it stop? You can't have security everywhere. Heck, you even have to walk through metal detectors to get into the happiest place on Earth now.

Yep. It's a sad world out there. These douche bags want to make a big splash here. They know 9/11 will be hard to duplicate.

They also plan years in advance as well as some nut lone wolf piss head doing his thing.

One must assume the Super Bowl is a priority...just the media attention alone.

But yeah, concerts like the Daytona country smash this summer?

Looks like to gain a little security, we will give up some privacy. Sadly some laws will have to change to implement anything.

Piss up piss.

Quote:For one, you condemn the behavior and demand that those who could do more (more moderate Muslims) also condemn the behavior. Instead, you have a culture too scared to say anything about without being labeled a racist. Let them know you won't tolerate it or anyone caught enabling it.

Do you really think ISIS can be more easily defeated if Western leaders and moderate Muslims condemned their behavior? Hell, they hate moderate Muslims as much as they hate us, maybe more. Words don't matter to them.

If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already.

The Only way to defeat them is to Kill'em all (ISIS) and let Allah sort them out

The push needs to come from the muslims themselves. Until all of them think this behavior is never okay then it will continue. When you have a quarter of the population (Islamics) that think Jihad/terrorist attacks are okay, then you let the 1% develop that actually do these things.

Start with condemnation and end with physical solutions.

You plan a bombing but aren't successful? Life in prison. You were the getaway driver? Life in prison. You housed someone, knowing they would bomb someone, but you didn't help carry out the bombin? Life in prison.

There should be no mercy for anyone involved, in any capacity, if it's proven they aided the offender in any way while also knowing what they're intentions were. This is a rather safe solution. A less politically correct alternative is less likely but more deserving.

Also, they don't hate moderate Muslims as much as every one else. I'm not even sure where you get that from.

It is scary to think about it and I'm not going to say I advocate such a thing but once the natives have had enough the only solution will be some type of civil war. It will be very ugly.

Bombers family has ISIS and Al Queda ties.

Cool, lets keep letting unvetted refugees into the US. We should just take them at their word.

Let's start with holding the Saudis accountable, a quit with kissing the ring. Those mother piss arent anymore trustable than the Russians.

But these strict muslims who hold sharia law as their gospel and final say so, have sponsored terror, including their own citizens who learned to fly passenger jets for one purpose.

Amazing how we call the Taliban oppressors while a blind eye is given these oil monger terrorists.

If you can't win the hearts and minds of ISIS, blow their hearts and minds up instead.

Ok. Where do we start? ( Let's pretend Trump didn't claim he had a plan and would get rid of them quickly)

This schmoe was born in Britain with Libyan descent. He was British. How many here are American with descendants from other places...besides all of us? But what to do? Hey..you're an American citizen, but your great grandfather was from Libya, or Iraq, or Iran or..even...dare I say...Saudi Arabia?

This kill em all and let Allah sort them out is good chest thumping bravado that is useless. Ever try to get rid of all the roaches in a place...forever?

With the internet being a huge issue, how do combat that?

Somehow, the leaders must be taken care of..but then. We got Osama. ...Help any?

It isn't like a normal war like WW2 or 1. There are no borders, rules, accountability, morals and plain decency.

Even harsher punishments don't help. Damn, when you WANT to die? What deterrent is there?

I dunno. Frustrated as we all are for sure.

Beer thirty...and it's not even close to noon.

Extremists consider anyone not adhering to Sharia law to be heretics.

Do you think Trump's speech to the Saudi Islamic conference had any effect on ISIS?

Probably not, but it appears to have had an effect on some of the leaders of the Arab nations in attendance.  If the initial reaction is an indication, you may see more coordination than chaos moving forward.  That will absolutely have an effect on ISIS if it does happen.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
