Jags have worst roster, per PFF and ESPN

Quote:Yep, we proved them wrong didn't we.

Sure did.  We weren't the first pick.

Quote:They were right last year.

Then why didn't we pick first?

That's where the worst team picks.

Or haven't some of you figured that out yet?

It's been that way for quite a while.  Both of you together would still be short of a six pack.

I think we have improved, despite fowler going down. Bortles in his 2nd year with J Thomas as his new security blanket will prove to be the difference. I know some won't agree, but I think Bradley will be keeping us from a winning record this year.

Interesting video at the bottom of the article about Joeckel.  If this season is like the last, do we look for and LT high in the draft?

This has to be a make or break year for him. If he sucks, again, Caldwell might have to call his first pick a bust...

The Jags are the biggest unknown in the league because of their youth.  How can you really make an assessment of a team that played rookies and first year guys all over the place?  If most of the players make a significant improvement in their 2nd and 3rd years, this team will be much better than anyone expects.  If not, then it may be a long few years ahead.  This is probably the most significant year in the franchise's history in terms of what the future has in store.

We were one loss away from picking first.

Not like we "proved them wrong" or anything like that.

This team is in the bottom 1/3 in talent, experience, and coaching.

Are you really arguing this?  So instead of us being the dried feces on the stool we were the vomit on the floor.  Yay Sick

Free agency more likely. I count 8 current starting LTs whose contracts are expiring.

Even if he plays well I could see us bringing in one for competition at the very least. LJ doesn't really have anyone sitting there to take his job

I think we'd all agree that we're in the bottom third.

But the point is that we are being ranked rock bottom. I think that's harder to swallow.

Someones gotta be ranked last. We are as good of a guess as anyone to finish last.

My point is that we haven't earned the right to be upset about this kind of stuff.

I really think there's a decent size gap between Tenn and the rest of the bottom 1/3rd

Compelling argument you have going here. Off by one win in arguably the worst division in football.
Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.

Because the Titans were smart enough to lose to us AND the Bucs were smart enough to put in their backups in the 2nd half of the final game vs the Saints when the Bucs were actually leading 20-7 at halftime.  Don't let our #30 Ranking fool you into believing that we were elite.

Titans had a 10-0 lead on the Jags in December before they tanked the game .....

Bucs Week 17 ....... 20-7 lead vs the Saints below (prior to tanking the 2nd half) ....

Meh,, it's legit to be called the worst IMO.

Titans, Bucs, Jags, Raiders, Browns: It's all a toss up between the worst 5 teams in the league. Any one of them could be marked as the "worst" at any time.

Occasionally sprinkling in Jets, Redskins is an option too.

If you believe that I believe that, then there's no amount of logic that can explain to you why you're wrong yet again.

In fact they probably got more wrong than right, but don't let that get in the way of your self pity party.

We can still be 32 if that's what you choose to believe.

If you do (I won't assume so as you do with me in thinking I believe we're "elite") think we're 32, then you have to give Gus credit for getting more from less than the two teams we bettered in the final standings.

But then, I do see you were a bit proactive (or would that be knee jerk?) in excusing away why we should have been dead last already.

Sorry to burst yours and a few others bubble, but the truth is:

we weren't

Let's get coach Gus an extension right now for getting the most out of this bunch and overachieving the way he did!
