I like this new pope. He's way better than that old pope that had ties to the Nazis...

C'mon man. They're both in cahoots...many Nazis fled to Argentina. The Pope is from where? Plus he has a fondness for schnitzel, good beer and pretzels. If it walks like a goose (step) its a goose ( stepper )

But I agree, as far as Popes go, this one is kinda cool in many ways...For those who dont care what he says, I wonder who they do care about what they say?

Careful. Take it from one knows, and has suffered the consequences of transgression, crossing the line to the religious discussion side is an easy step to take.

My thoughts regarding The Pope have little to do with faith.  The man is a Head of State believe it or not, and has an awful lot of power.  How many other Heads of State can influence people globally simply by making a speech or writing a document?

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

That's a valid point. It's a shame that most of the individuals that have the wealth or power as you point out usually are the mouth piece for those who see in power. Their speech and rhetoric is used to maintain the power structure we already have. A power structure that we all agree is broken. You gotta give it up for a guy that is taking about this from the point of view of the workers. You may not like his politics, but you can't deny the uniqueness of the things he talks about... at least that's how I see it.

Pope is getting lots of traction.

Question. For all you non-catholic GOPers, who would you need to hear it from to believe it?

So far, we have NASA, the NOAA, every single scientific institute in the world and now the head of the Catholic Church.

Evidently that's not enough. So who do you need to hear it from?

Rush Limbaugh?

Fox and Friends?

Tebow?

Jethro Gibbs?

This is why you are on the wrong side of this issue. It doesn't matter WHO you believe. What people say about science is not what matters. What the data show is what matters. The two truly global temperature measurements show no warming in over 18 years.

It'd have to be placed in the bible itself, and even then probably not.

100% of scientists could agree, and they'd just say "The Scientists are wrong, like they've been in the past."

I'll be happy to follow along the very minute the Catholic Church divests itself of all its holdings to give to the poor. Until then? It's just another hypocritical [BAD WORD REMOVED] talking down to us po' commoners from his throne.

From Star Trek? Cause the data on earth points to a singular conclusion--the conclusion you desperately seek to avoid.

The data says everthing is fine until the scientists make their adjustments.
