Global Warming, er Climate Change is a National Security Threat

#1

The President is swinging way left on this one and is trying to brainwash our newest service members.  In a speech that he made to a graduating class at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy he stated that this class would "be part of the first generation of officers to begin their service in a world where it is increasingly clear that 'climate change will shape how every one of our services plan, operate, train, equip and protect their infrastructure.'"

Then he goes on to say that not dealing with "climate change" is a dereliction of duty.

This guy can not leave the office fast enough.

Links to the articles that I saw regarding this.

I might be wrong but I believe statements about it being a national security threat came directly from one or more of our intelligence/security bureaus. Would you have the president ignore advice from them as previous ones have?

Google is plastered with the recent speech in your OP but it seems it was the DOD. It's the first link I found.

I went to your link, and the first "red flag" for me is that it was from "thinkprogress".  The link on that page to the "full report" points to a file on the BLOG writer's personal computer.  Try again.

Thank you for some better links.  I guess the PC problem in the military goes all the way up.

I suggest you reevaluate where you get your science from. Science has nothing to do with politics. Recognizing it does evidently. You obviously vote Republican. I still find it amazing you rather trust a politician than the scientific community despite the obvious flaw in that logic.

I'm not going to sit here and debate (again) the idea of global warming climate change.  The "science" involved will support either side of the debate.  What gets me more is that this whole global warming climate change crap has made it's way into the DoD.

Well if it is real, than the points they raised explain why it's made it's way there.

I'm more worried about Operation Jade Helm 15 than I am Climate change

2 + 2 will always equal 4 regardless of the political affiliation of the mathematician. Logic works the same way as math. If all men are mortal, and Socrates was a man, it follows that Socrates was mortal. You simply can't challenge that. Science is based on math and logic. It doesn't care how you vote.

So, no, the science does not support both positions, that is literally impossible.

Also, the science is extremely easy to understand; I can explain it to you if you like.

You explaining the science rather than just providing links would be a first.

Tell that to the guy who was ridiculed by consensus science when he proposed continental drift.

So please explain to me about this "science".  Before you start, let me tell you that rest assured, I am very much familiar with logic, true/false, yes/no 1/0.

Another link. What a disappointment. I thought you were actually going to explain something this time.

Carbon dioxide traps heat. Human activity (burning fossil fuels) is increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

That's it.
