Sample breaks arm in OTAs

no but thank god im a union member with excellent insurance or I would of been really screwed. for him to be back in 6-8 weeks would have been awesome. 8-10 weeks is generous.

you know what. let me take back that "no"

truth is I don't know a dang thing about the nfl doctors, who 's to say they are better than any doctor. im pretty sure they all went to college and had to meet the same standards.

I don't have all of the same resources as an NFL player, but I had the same foot surgeon as Luke Jockel. Surgeons who operate on NFL players treat the general public all the time.

yes they do. procedures are up to doc. rehab is up to the patience. I worked with due diligence and it still didn't happen overnight. and my stuff was the easiest.

The difference is in the rehab. Considering the majority of us have day jobs we can't dedicate our rehab to a 24/7 process like an NFL player can. They have access to advanced equipment that isn't normally available to the general public. Here's a good article on it:

I relate it to say cutting your arm. You have to options,

Throw a band aid on it and it will heal in 3 weeks. Or

Go to the Dr, get a stitch or two, out Triple A on it, and it heals in a week.

Obviously it's not as cut and dry as that, but its a simple way to look at it.

You're right about that. My foot was not healing as quick as it should have and my Dr wanted me to get a bone stim to help the healing process. After fighting my insurance company for 2 months I was finally approved for one. So yeah there's a big difference between being at the mercy of a bureaucracy and having top flight medical care.(Even though my job in industrial maintenance plays a way more important role in society than any football player. Can't enjoy football if the lights ain't on.)

How did the Jaguars rank amongst the other teams compared to injuries, is it me or does it seem that the Jaguars seem to have more occur than most?

Maybe they don't want him to play with a cast on? Idk if that is just for hands but we have all seen guys play with those big clubs.

More players than many teams, but mostly set to be back by the regular season or earlier. I note the Tacks have three players out for the season.

This team needs a safety really bad, hopefully Brown & Sample can make a difference.

Stick to your awesome camp reports, FBT. It appears predicting the future is not one of your strong points.

Rught. I didn't source an orthopedic surgeon or anything.

Much good that did you. You were wrong and we all knew it at the time, except you. Have some humility and own it.

Whatever. It's a damn bone. He said it reasonably. They are being precautious. Small, spongy heads are so annoying.
