Julius Thomas rumored to have broken finger

The Jaguars are referring to Julius Thomas' injury as a "stable fracture" on the back of his hand.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Thomas is done for the preseason, but "should be back" for Jacksonville's regular season opener. This is a blow to Thomas' chances of building a rapport with Blake Bortles, but at least the severity is less than might have initially been feared. Thomas is worth targeting no earlier than the ninth round of 12-team drafts now that he's left Denver.

How did it happen I was at game and didn't record it but what little I have seen on local news it isn't obvious. Was it when he went down and planted that hand after the low block

Context, rocdee. Jaxjags625 said, they will have no film of him IN OUR OFFENSE. He's right. You misconstrued his take.

His abilities are not the target, since that's a known, as you acknowledged. How he's utilized in this system is what they'd like to know. With the TE heavy, ball control scheme being employed (loving it), one can expect some exciting wrinkles.

I like Olsen...an edgy, determined kat. Something there. We'll see.

Yes. He came down on it awkwardly.  If it's a fractured but not broken metacarpal bone (sounds like this from early reports) then I personally expect him good to go by week 2 or 3 of reg. season. I think week one is optimistic.

Just a crack in a finger

Can literally be casted

And play tomorrow

If needed

Same for Yeldon, only he won't need a cast as he just sprained his hand

Not debilitating as sensed here

Rephrasing: IF it's just a crack (fracture) vs. a break...

As expressed, if it was a severe breakage, he would have shown a lot more distress, in spite of pain tolerance.

Ahhh!  Finally it makes sense!

Do you think if I re-hung Marino's framed autographed game day jersey back up in my den it would exercise this curse?

Injury bug, that is why it is important to have great depth.

I heard it was Thomas Middle finger.  I dont think its a huge deal.

I think Clay Harbor can step up if JT misses a couple games.  Despite his drops in game one I think he's someone the defense needs to account for, not like JT but solid nonetheless.
