Could the Jaguars trade Scobee? Ryan O thinks so. (Scobee Traded to steelers)

Jason Myers better fill those shoes. If not...

I figured a 6th.  That's pretty good compensation considering he was going to get cut and he's a kicker.

Sounds like Jaguars would have cut Josh Scobee if they didn't trade him. Weren't going to let Jason Myers go

College stats though!!!

I guess it really was rocket surgery... for some.

College stats don't tell the tale. I'm good with him going to Steelers, imagine if he got traded to the Colts, Titans, or Texans..........or Patriots.

Quote:This is clearly the worst trade in the history of our franchise. I'm absolutely disgusted with Jags management right now. Cutting the heart and soul of or team right weeks before the season is reminiscent of the movie Major League where management intentionally made bad moves so there team would lose. This is Major League'esque and then some!!! Pittsburgh just landed a winner and a leader and I'm sure Jags management will use this draft pick as they have in the past by drafting a guy who is so durable he is lost for the season on work out number one, or by drafting a drug addict who has been no where to be seen for several years, or by picking a QB who is now the 89th string QB for the 49ers - or at least last year. Jack Del Rio would NEVER have let this happen.

Gabbert is a 2nd stringer..

You also have to consider that the Steelers are rather cap strapped and have to find a way to fit his salary on their roster.

Also, getting that 6th round pick is almost a steal. I was thinking that it was gonna be more of a conditional 7th round pick.

The dust has settled and Scobee is no longer a Jaguar. That also means that I'll refrain from wearing his\my jersey until\if he retires as a Jaguar.

:thanks:  Scooby Doo...

Thanks Josh for some truly wonderful memories.

This season I will be rooting for the Steelers (in games that don't affect the Jags). Considering I normally despise the Steelers and their knuckle dragging fans, I hope you take my support for the compliment that it is.

Best of luck Mr. Myers.

As a Jaguar fan that's an Insult w/o a doubt. Root for Scobee, not the Steelers...

I'm not shocked that such a move was made, but Caldwell could really regret this one. If Myers isn't what they think he is this could cost the team a few games this season, the team hasn't shown it has a lot of margin for winning games with missed field goals so far, and another 5 or 6 win season with missed field goals featuring heavily in some of the losses could push Khan's patience over the edge, especially if Scobee goes on to have a good season in Pittsburgh.
