  Ted Thompson has a great track record in the middle rounds but the 3rd Rounder Khyri Thornton and 4th Rounder Carl Bradford picks are exceptions from a Packers standpoint.  

 

  The Patriots decision to sign Khryi Thornton reminds me of the their decision to trade a late round conditional pick last year to GB for DT Jerel Worthy.   Whether the Thornton acquistion turns out better remains to be seen.

Is Fauria practice squad eligible?

 

Not according to the following list.  However,  Joseph Fauria has only 2 accrued seasons.  He was an UDRFA in 2013.  Based on that,  I would think he would have P.S. eligibility because of the P.S. procedure changes in 2014.  My guess is Fauria does have P.S. eligibility.

  It sure seems like teams are throwing away 4th Round picks at a level that's unprecedented.   

 

  Gary Kubiak coached Gino Gradkowski in Baltimore last season.   He was a backup player.  While John Elway made the trade,  Kubiak probably is probably the reason the trade occurred.

 Considering the Broncos Offensive Line situation,  it's far from a given Peyton Manning will even get through this season w/o missing one or more games.

I think that they are pretty much screwed right now.  Pay-me-a-ton Manning isn't the same quarterback that he was when he was a Colt by any means.  They're screwed, and it wouldn't surprise me if they "battled with" the Raiders for the bottom spot in that division soon.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I think that they are pretty much screwed right now. Pay-me-a-ton Manning isn't the same quarterback that he was when he was a Colt by any means. They're screwed, and it wouldn't surprise me if they "battled with" the Raiders for the bottom spot in that division soon.

They know the window will close soon, if not this season, which is why they spent so much money in free agency in 2015. Their defense does have a lot of talent, but how much of that talent will still be on the roster once they have to rebuild and start creating cap space?

As crazy as this sounds considering the multitude of personnel mistakes the Raiders have made since they reached the 2002 season Super Bowl,   they could easily have the best QB situation in the AFC West by the 2017 season.   That's assuming the AFC West remains the current 4 teams,  which isn't a given considering the Raiders and Chargers might be sharing a stadium in Carson, CA.

I have hardly seen Aaron Murray since he came to the NFL. But as an NFL prospect,  I thought of Murray more of a # 2 type of QB.  In Kansas City,  in large part,  that's what they have with Alex Smith.   A QB that they want to protect the football and be efficient.   Chase Daniel also seems like that type of QB as well.   W/o having a true franchise QB,  Andy Reid seems to prefer the safe mode at the position,  which would likely makes Murray a good fit.

I actually think pretty highly of Chase Daniel as a backup, and hope he finds his way here next offseason after his contract in KC expires. Theoretically, Murray will be ready to back Alex Smith up by then, leaving Daniel, who plays more like Bortles and is far more talented than Henne, to come to Jacksonville.
