(This post was last modified: 09-06-2015, 01:15 PM by BritishJag.)

The first waiver claims are coming in...

Saints claimed Obum Gwachum & Michael Mauti

The Giants were awarded CB Asa Jackson and DT Louis Nix

Dolphins got a QB, as Logan Thomas was claimed by MIA

Colts claim DT TY McGill

Philly claimed QB Stephen Morris

Titans claimed David Bass & Steven Johnson, as they look to add depth.

Tampa Bay claimed Kourtnei Brown, Jeremiah George, Ryan Griffin, James Michael Johnson & Eric Kush - waived TE Cameron Brate, G Kadeem Edwards, OT Reid Fragel and WR Rannell Hall, while releasing LB Jason Williams.

The 49ers made no waiver claims, and none of the players they waived yesterday were claimed.

Raiders claimed safety Keenan Lambert from Seahawks

Vikings & Texans made no claims today

Austin Pasztor was claimed by the Browns.

Steelers sign RB Jordan Todman, who had a 49-yard TD for CAR on Thurs; claim DE Caushaud Lyons from TB. Grant, Chickillo waived

Thanks,  BritishJag.

Being that the Bucs are coming off a 2-14 season and had first dibs in the waiver claim process,  it's not surprising that they claimed 5 players.

It will be interesting to see which players end up getting released based on today's waiver claims.

Figured. A versatile player with starting experience will be valuable to someone.

Pasztor got rid of Whimper. I'll always like him for that.

I'd take it as a positive sign we have had three players claimed off of waivers.  That's a likely sign the roster is getting better.

Toddman gets another look.

Grant was CB Doran Grant their 4th round pick this year.

*EDIT* Wrong name

This was along the lines of what I was thinking when seeing that at least 3 Jags players were claimed off waivers.  Even for a team that's been to the playoffs repeatedly in recent years,  having 3 players claimed the day after the cutdown to 53 seems like a high number.

Chickillo could be a interesting claim come tomorrow.

Tweet from Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) - This is unexpected. There were no claims for former Saints CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste

Grant was CB Corey Grant their 4th round pick this year.

The Seahawks also cut a 4th Round pick from this year's draft,  T Terry Poole.

Tampa claiming all of those players would worry me if I was a Bucs fan. That's 10% of your roster signed a week before the start of the season!

Interesting.  I've personally never heard of him but that makes a 3rd, as the Browns cut 4th round pick WR Vince Mayle.

That's a lot of higher draft picks cut already.

They aren't going to be good this season. Their O-Line is a wreck and Winston and their running game will struggle behind it.

Yes he could be.  I obviously didn't keep up with Pittsburgh this preseason, does anyone know if he was that bad or more the victim of a numbers game? I will have to look into that more.

The Jaguars will be great this year as they strive for victory under Coach Bradley and young leaders on offense and defense!
