Possible Coaches for 2016?

#61
(This post was last modified: 09-14-2015, 10:50 AM by The Eleventh Doctor.)

No thanks to Josh McDaniels or anyone who coached under Darth Hoodie.  And no thanks to Todd Haley either.  Both already failed.

Pete Carmichael Jr. is a coordinator I'd look at.  Unless Sean Payton is available.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Wait -- that's 24-24 over the course of 3 years.

We are 9-39 over the past 3 years.   I'll take the additional 13 wins.

Todd Haley would be good.

Quote:The guy is in the building. It's Marrone. He's already got his OC in Nathaniel Hackett. Bring in Mike Pettine as DC (his DC in Buffalo) after he gets fired in Cleveland.

I have a tendency to agree with that.

Only a chump boos the home team!

Although a terrible record for Gus since his time here, if the offense can just stop making stupid errors like dropping balls (probably the most infuriating thing to see), fumbles and interceptions, we might win some games. I'm hopeful it improves as the season wears on.

With that.....

Sean Payton

LOL at people saying Harbaugh. He isn't going to leave Michigan. Not at least for another 2-3 years.

The logical pick is Marrone. This way there is not much turnover or any "STARTING OVER". The team already knows him and he has a lot of head coaching experience (unlike Bradley when he was hired).

My guess is that on-field game management would improve significantly. (Why does it seem like at least once a game Gus botches a management call?)

Hackett would stay around, hopefully Babich would too.

Payton in as head coach with marrone as his OC would be perfect for our team.

Quote:Wonder how much it'd take to get Jim Harbaugh from Michigan. He said he'd like to return to the NFL one day.

That's not going to happen for at least 4 years, so move on.

Quote:Offensive coordinator who is a proven winner. No more journeyman or diamonds in the rough. Not sure whom that would be, but that should be the criteria.
