Again, padded stats as the team continues to get decimated by the worst teams in the NFL. He is still erratic in the pocket,  inaccurate, still makes horrible decisions, crumbles under pressure, and is still an INT machine. You mean his body of work. As I've continued to reiterate, padding your stats while the team is getting blown out does not impress me. I've acknowledge his improvement, but you act as though he doesn't still struggle with the same issues he did as a rookie.

Padding stats while the team continuously gets blown out by the NFL bottom feeders impresses no one. He has been getting extremely lucky on a lot of plays and the padded stats don't accurately reflect just how mediocre he has been.

It seems like a few people on this board just need to trash talk blake no matter what when he does anything wrong just because they said he sucked earlier in the season. They don't even want him to do well they just want to be right about him. There's a million problems worse than bortles right now but since he made a few mistakes all we are hearing is about that. Same old story, when the pressure is on he throws a pick six, another INT, and multiple wild passes. Were you watching the same game? He also threw one in the redzone which should have been points for the Jags, and was lucky to have his very first INT called back because of a fluke flag on the DB. He did not play well today, regardless of whatever stats you want to cite. When the plays were meaningful the the team relied on him to carry them in the face of adversity, he wilted. Same old story.

Garrard had a running game and a defense. Blake has neither. And is already a better pure passer than Garrard by lightyears. In his second year.

Garrard had those things in 2007, but the D was gone after that. I think he was the main reason we went 7-9, and 8-8 Genes first two years. Garrard deserves more credit than he gets around here. If he had been healthy, instead of Gabbert in 2011 (which had a great D and great running game) we probably would have been in the playoffs.  Actually that thought scares me alot, cause we would probably just now be getting rid of Gene...

Took the lead? You realize the team was outscored 21-6 in the 4th quarter (only score was his garbage time TD on a drive that was a 3 and out but was saved by a penalty). You keep taking shots at me, and you don't even know me. Would you grow up already, I'm tired of it. 

 

As for the stats: Carr has more wins, a better TD:INT ratio, a higher completion %, and a higher YPA. Anything else?

It seems like some people have an agenda and want bortles to be bad so they can be correct about their initial opinions of him. So when we has a meh day everyone will come flocking to say I told you so. Even though there were much more pressing concerns than a few mistakes by blake.
