I figured out who Bortles reminds me of.

Man, what I wouldn't do for the second coming of a Maurice-Jones Drew on this team.

Quote:Are we referring to the passes where he was almost sacked and constant pressure He faced all game long? Rewatch the game and be legit objective. Quote:He has had tons of near INTs this season. Comeback attempts don't start with a TD in the last few minutes of the game when you're down more than 2 possessions. There was over 7 minutes left yesterday when they started the td drive, troll. and by your logic, Seattle put up a bunch of garbage time points against GB in the playoffs last season.
I still find it crazy that there's like 4 threads with people discussing about how bortles played bad and not nearly as much about the major problems with the team.
Quote:There was over 7 minutes left yesterday when they started the td drive, troll. and by your logic, Seattle put up a bunch of garbage time points against GB in the playoffs last season. OK but they were still down multiple possessions after that TD. Did anyone really expect a comeback at that point? It would be another story if he actually got it within a single score or lead the team into OT. I'm not sure what you think you're proving with that obvious disanalogy. I'm not sure what you think you're proving with that obvious disanalogy. I think the point is that it wasn't really garbage time because the defense was still playing their normal scheme. They weren't playing prevent defense or anything. If anything it's harder because they knew we were going to pass every down so they didn't even have to focus on a whole aspect of the offense. They gave up all the underneath throws because it played into their hands. They forced the team to march down the field and use the clock because they were ahead by 3 possessions. Sure they are expecting pass, but the fact that the score came so late in the game with little time remaining for an actual comeback doesn't exactly give credence to the thought that those stats were very meaningful.
Baconater making fun of Bortles and his ROAD losses....
Home/Away Att Comp Pct Yds Avg Lng TD Int 1st 1st% 20+ Sck Rate Home Games 126 70 55.6 787 6.2 52 6 5 41 32.5 12 8 73.7 Road Games 116 68 58.6 843 7.3 59 7 2 42 36.2 12 6 94.1 Bortles QB rating has been 20 points higher on the road this year. That also bodes well in pressure situations.......baconactor wrong again with zero stats to back anything up Quote:Baconater making fun of Bortles and his ROAD losses.... Your reading comprehension needs work. The point I was making in reference to that is that projections of statistics are meaningless and offer little (if any at all) insight about the evaluation of a player. Cmon lol, I liked David but he was a game manager at best, he had probably the best 1-2 punch in the game in the backfield. We won games inspite
of him not because of him.

There not meaningless when you are using the stats to back up an argument that he is average and has a low ceiling. If that was the case then he wouldn't be on pace to have one of the best 2nd years for a QB ever. Maybe you have a different argument? But the stats overall are not helping your case. I've never cited projected stats to make an argument about the evaluation of Bortles. I've only cited actual situational stats that I've correlated with key moments and turning points in games. You can't have it both ways here.Because that interception Brady threw last night, where it hit Edelman in the stomach and he popped it right up into the defender was his fault? Sometimes interceptions aren't really on the QB but hey, sometimes TDs happen off tipped defenders so.... Whatever. Mariota smells like turds after you eat Chipotle
It's cute the way Baconator asks for stats, then receives them and dismisses them based on "what you see on the field" when the stats don't support his argument.

How about Mariota's pick 6 that cost the tacks the game? How about his 1-4 record as a starter? Correlate that, you dumb hick.
Make the Jags Great Again
Blake Bortles......YOU'RE FIRED! Dave Caldwell.....YOU'RE FIRED! Quote:It's cute the way Baconator asks for stats, then receives them and dismisses them based on "what you see on the field" when the stats don't support his argument. He is just being objective. Apparently we can only consider what he thinks makes a QB good. Even though he had no problem bringing up TDs and pics when it justified his argument when debating Mariota. The stats bacon brought up when making a full argument for good and bad are reasonable to an extent, but when you keep changing your argument to simply justify your argument well you get baconator. Indy game he put us in a position to win twice. He also led the drive for field goal to beat Miami. Do those count? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I've got corns in my [BAD WORD REMOVED] that are more talented than Mariota. Can we pick out those corns & sign them to play DB? Quote:How about Mariota's pick 6 that cost the tacks the game? You're gonna lose basically everytime.
The Jaguars Offense is ranked 15th overall in yards, 12th in Passing (when was the last time the Jaguars were ever 12th or higher in Passing)?
