Jacksonville Jaguars Vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (race for the #1 overall pick)

Quote:

Data from a Seahawks fan

<div>"Andrew Luck has 306 (45%!) more career pass attempts than Wilson.

Luck: 974

Wilson: 668

Those 306 more pass attempts has allowed Luck to throw 8 LESS touchdowns AND 8 More interceptions.

Luck: 37-24

Wilson: 45-16

That's just ridiculous. Career passer rating to date?

Luck: 80.2

Wilson: 102.1

Who in their right mind can legitimately make the case that Luck is better than Wilson?"

</div>

Numbers dont tell the whole story, but this is a good point. Its not a clear choice like some here are pretending it to be.

if you dont understand why luck has more pass attemps and ints then idk what to tell you man, it seems youre just infatuated with wilson. look at the big picture.

also how do you explain luck beating wilson?

Quote:Yes. He's the best QB prospect maybe ever, and he single handedly took a one win team to the playoffs his rookie year.

The Colts roster looks a lot like the Jags, except at one key position.

Luck already has like 9 fourth quarter comeback wins. He's a future HOFer and will be in the discussion for greatest QB ever. Obviously that's my opinion, but I feel strongly about it.

Um... Reggie Wayne and TY Hilton are a lot better combon than CS3/Blackmon. They have 2 good TEs. One of the best pass rushers in the league and a secondary that was playing well the first half of the year. Theyre not similar at all. The colts bad offensive line is still way better than the jaguars'.

Quote:Russell Wilson is also a cerebral QB, and is just as intelligent as Luck, he memorized the entire Wisconsin Badger playbook in 2 weeks. He is also more accurate as his career completion percentage (64%) is better than Lucks (56%), and it's not like Wilson completion percentage is due to him checking the ball down, his 8.20 YPA is much better than Lucks (6.99), at the end of day the eye in the eye never lies, Wilson (to me) looks like the better player, and the stats back that.
Still didn't answer the question: If you put Wilson on the Colts, do they become a better team. If Wilson is as good as you say he is, the Colts would definitely be able to win more games right?

On the flip side, put Luck on that loaded Seahawks team with the best defense in the league giving him great field position and the best running game to go with it. There would be no drop off from Wilson to Luck.

I'm infatuated with Wilson? I provided you with numbers that support my argument, I think the media and fans of the NFL are infatuated with Andrew Luck, he was hailed as the 2nd coming of Christ, and the truth is he hasn't played (especially this year) at a high level. I'm not saying Wilson will be better long term than Luck, but he's been a better QB so far, that's my point.

it just proves hes statistically doing better, like i said look at the big picture. also im pretty sure you said wilson is the best qb in the class yesterday, and explain to me if wilson was better, how come he couldnt beat luck?

I believe Wilson is the better QB, so I obviously believe the Colts would be better than Wilson. Back to the Seahwaks run game, they are ranked 3rd in the NFL in rushing yards per game, if you take Russell Wilson legs away they'd be 17th.

Your point is wrong. The Colts were a 1-15 team.... drafted Luck and then went 11-5 the very next season.

Put Luck on the Seahawks... no drop off. Put Wilson on the Colts.... huge drop off. Luck has 9 comeback wins. 9

Is Mike Glennon better than Matt Ryan? I guess whoever the backup in St Louis is better than Luck too. Its a dumb argument, sorry.

If you want to tell me Luck is better (which I agree with right now) then use actual points.

That is mind boggling to me. The Colts would be better with Wilson? You think they would have gone 11-5 last year with Wilson?! I just don't see it...

Wayne and Hilton are not astronomically better than CS3 and Blackmon. Obviously Wayne has the career production, but he is not his old self anymore. T Y Hilton wouldn't catch 35 balls with Chad Henne throwing to him. Luck has made Hilton.

Fleener has been a major disappointment. Not sure what your grasping at there.

How is my point wrong? You're asking a theoretical question, no one knows how good the Colts would be with Russell Wilson, you asked my opinion and I gave it to you. No one is wrong; it's one man's opinion vs. the other.

If you cannot tell the difference between Luck taking over a terrible team and making them a playoff team, vs Wilson joining one of the best teams in the league, than that's a you problem.
