Jacksonville Jaguars Vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (race for the #1 overall pick)

Quote:If you cannot tell the difference between Luck taking over a terrible team and making them a playoff team, vs Wilson joining one of the best teams in the league, than that's a you problem.
It's just crazy. I love Wilson and think he is great but Luck is on a different level. If he has a bad game they lose. That is not the case with Wilson. Wilson was awful against the Rams and they still won.

Quote:Is Mike Glennon better than Matt Ryan? I guess whoever the backup in St Louis is better than Luck too. Its a dumb argument, sorry.

If you want to tell me Luck is better (which I agree with right now) then use actual points.
straaaaaw man alert!!!

ive been saying that seahakws was a better team but you guys refuse to look at the bigger picture just provide indivual stats. so i gave an individual game.

seahawks def>>>>>>>colts d

seahawks running game>>>>>>colts running game

as a team seahawks>>>colts

if wilson is better than luck and about almost all aspect of the team since you guys believe wilson>luck

then how can wilson not win that game. but then your reasoning was oh its a team game then. LOL.

when seahawks wins a game "oh wilson played a huge role, had great stats" seahakws loses to luck "its a team game". LOLOL

That's all great, I'm speaking from a perspective of simply watching both players, you're right, Luck does have a smaller margin of error because of the team he's on, but to discredit Wilson because he's on a better team is ridiculous. What does Lucks defense have to do with his completion percentage? What does Lucks defense have to do with his YPA? If you want to talk about a supporting cast, Reggie Wayne, T.Y. Hilton, & Coby Fleener are better options than Sidney Rice, Golden Tate, and Zach Miller, Wilson has played most of the season without his starting left and right tackles, and the backups have been atrocious. When I watch Wilson (and Luck), I see two QB's that elevate the level of play of the players around them, not the opposite, I believe (and the numbers support it) Wilson does it on a more consistent basis.

If you're a fan of advanced metrics the Seahawks are a worse pass blocking team (-24.4) than the Colts (-17.5), they are also a worse run blocking (-34.6) than the Colts (-10.9), these are from PFF. So is it possible the Seahawks juggernaut for an offense isn't what you think it is? Take the numbers as you will, but the Seahawks offense is the juggernaut some of you are making it out to be, Wilson is the key.

HeeRo,

What are Andrew Luck's numbers since Reggie Wayne went down?

because theyre not a juggernaut offense, theyre run first, good defense kind of team in which they dont ask wilson to score alot to win games and theyre usually not behind.  their defense and running game sets up the passing game. if you look at the bigger picture than just stats, luck is the better player. but your opinion is your opinion not gonna try to convince you anymore or anyone that believes wilson>luck.

terrible, thats why you dont rely on stats. hes still 2-1 with 2 come from behind win with an offense compiled of fleener, donald brown and hilton.  can wilson win a game with that offense, honestly, can he?

Wow, they don't ask Wilson to score a lot? The Seahawks are averaging 27 points per game, they're 2nd in the league in points, and a lot of that has to do with Russell Wilson. Do you even watch the Seahawks? Because you know nothing about that team.

I'm not discrediting what Luck has done; I think he's a fine football player with much better years ahead of him. I do believe Wilson can win a game with that offense because Wilson's weapons aren't great either. T.Y. Hilton is better than Golden Tate, Coby Fleener is better than Zach Miller, and I've showed you stats proving the Colts run & pass blocking is better than the Seahawks.

How are they not relevant? The bigger picture looks bright for both players.

The real question is, how bad does the Bryan Anger pick look now?

Horrible, and I'd rather have Wilson as my QB than 27-28 QBs in the league. But Luck ain't one of them.

Very Very much agree. If we took all the players in the entire league and did a draft with them, I guarantee you that Luck would be drafted ahead of Wilson. Guar.... an.... tee.

If you are starting from scratch, you take Luck over Wilson every day and twice on Sundays.

This is fair, trying to portray Wilson as incapable of winning games on the Colts is not.
