Quote:Ed Reed says he would listen if Miami calls. Would love it if Ed got the head coaching tree. That's crazy. You can't go straight from player to head coach or even defensive coordinator. Coach defensive backs first, then the whole defense, before even thinking about the head coach job. Of course it is possible he will be Miami's defensive backs coach if the new guy likes him. Quote:Better yet, ask yourself why Miami went from that 25 year span of domination to not having a Bowl game win since 2006 with those same facilities. Because they don't cheat anymore. Quote:Ed Reed says he would listen if Miami calls. Would love it if Ed got the head coaching treeEd Reed must be hanging with Justin Blackmon. Nobody's calling Ed Reed.

Quote:Because they don't cheat anymore. They also don't have very good players and coaches anymore. Quote:They also don't have very good players and coaches anymore.you're right. the seven players that got drafted last year (two in the 1st round round) were meaningless Quote:EXACTLY my point It could be that, yes. - or - It may also be that during the past seven years or so, the level of Miami's facilities have been surpassed by several of the larger football programs which has inhibited their ability to attract enough talented coaches and / or players. And there's also that whole "Nevin Shapiro" thing. And the investigation by Major League Baseball into it's Training Program. I'm not all that privy to the inner workings of the Miami athletic department but I'm thinking there might be a bit more to the sorry state of the football program than just needing a good Head Coach.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
get your mind off of facilities
Miami has ALWAYS been behind the curve with facilities, yet they were the greatest, most dominant team in all of college football over a 20-25 year period winning 5 titles (83, 87, 89, 91, 01) and playing for two more (86 and 02) and being cheated out of playing for at least one more (00 season) We show less advertisements to registered users. UM is in the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country, and as long as they recruit well there, they will always be just a coach away from dominance again.
Quote:get your mind off of facilities How was Miami cheated out of playing in 2000? They are the cheaters, so it is their fault if the NCAA kills their football program.
go google the 2000 season BCS standing from the last few weeks of that regular season
its obvious you have sore spot for UM so I'm not going to waste time explaining anything else to you

Quote:They will also get calls from South Carolina, Maryland and other schools with openings and alot more money to spend than Miami does. ... unless former athletes like Michael Irvin, Warren Sapp, and the other 50 pro bowlers kick in a million $$ each. Hey, maybe Hurns will kick in a couple hundred $$ as well.
Quote:I asked how long ago the 25-year domination was. In no way was I saying it never happened. Which 25 years are you talking about? Starting with 1981 + 25 Quote:It could be that, yes.Miami has Never had the facilities and still were one of the big boys on the field. They don't even have their own stadium let alone decent practice facilities.

Quote:I hate Miami. It's because Miami beat that sorry excuse for a football team you root for and it took some shady calls to change the game in your favor. Miami dominated you fair and square and the refs had to change the outcome of the game, not your players.

What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
