Derek Carr Watch

(This post was last modified: 11-23-2013, 07:59 PM by The Mad Dog.)

Quote:You should get over it, because Derek is lightyears better than David ever was.

Quote:That's dumb, dude. Maybe he's the Aaron Rodgers of the Carr family and David is the Jordan Rodgers. To write him off because of his name is insane.

I'll remember this when/ if someone drafts him (hopefully not us) and he pretty much is David 2.0 as a pro

Why is he pretty much David 2.0? You have given no insight to this besides sharing the same last name.

Maybe he'll be as big a superstar as Dan LeFevour or Mark Sanchez.

Tmd hasnt seen Carr play. He's just trolling like he always does

I think Carr is going to be big time, Bridgewater is more polished but the raw potential (huge arm) that Carr gives you makes things interesting

I saw him play today.

I don't care how he looks in college. I won't get past the bloodlines.

was dead on on Cyp, (Darius clone) and Shorts wouldn't have been squat without Jerry Sullivan or Blackmon equivalent on the other side.

I still gotta go with Bridgewater (he was hurt since the 2nd half)

but Carr deserves a long look

If I were you, I'd avoid knee jerk reactions.  They have not served you well.

Great analysis there. Rolleyes

You must really hate Teddy as a prospect then since he isn't related to any NFL players.

You do everything you can to not give Shorts credit and that's ok since you thought he'd be out of the league by now...but it's also ok to admit you were wrong.

and you said rounds 2-4 were wasted picks...which includes Cyp, so far he's got the look of a good Safety.

TMD Went 10+ pages arguing how names affect a player's ability to play football.

"David Carr" just doesn't sound like an NFL QB name, does it TMD?

Well to answer the question - it doesn't, but even the best football name wasn't saving that scrub. Besides I think the "name" thing is little more than an intangible. I think it is an interesting study, but I don't think a name makes the player or dooms the player.

I do find all this love for Derek Carr amusing though. These are the same people that trumped up garbage like Zach Dysert and would insult anyone who didn't think Dysert would be a good pro too, though, so I am never surprised

But you will delete it if he is not!

If it was Teddy putting up those 7 Carr touchdowns yesterday, you would be unbearable today!

BTW, I never said anything about Dysert last year and Ive been on the Carr wagon for weeks! In fact i got crap on another thread for calling him a first round sleeper.
