If only you guys knew. I live 30 minutes outside of Nashville and you should have heard them on the local sports radio (104.5 the zone). They have been calling this game their 2nd by week all year. They claim to easily have a better roster and everything. Now I know I should expect them to be Homers but even Paul Kuharsky (spelling) was saying the same thing and he's a national guy on ESPN. I can't wait to listen to the excuses this morning.

Why? You already know what it's going to be: injuries. We'll just disregard the fact that injuries are only a viable reason for failure as long as you aren't the Jaguars.

Actually they're talking about their need for a receiver "like the guys we saw last night". Overall they sound down and dejected and are already talking about the draft. They even said they want "an exact Gus Bradley clone for new coach! They spoke about how bad we've been the last few years but he's kept the team motivated and they have never packed it in. They compared him to Tomlin as a motivator.

To be fair to them - I've never seen our players show lack of effort like the tacks line and WR did on that final drive. Half of them walked up to the line as Mariota was trying to get a play off before the 2 min warning and they ended up with a flag.

We, as a collective, know precisely what it's like to be down, dejected and talking the draft in November. As such, if we weren't talking about tacks, we might even be able to empathize. But it's the stinkin' tacks. No empathy. Only unadulterated contempt.

I will also go on record by saying that I think Mariota will end up being a very good QB. I actually like what I saw for the most part, taking into consideration what he has to work with right now. But that stays here.

Did you hear the commercial for the steakhouse, " snap into a slim Jim."

I'm so glad we beat them; but looking at the other side of the coin, their draft pick is going to be pretty nice if they continue to lose....
