Quote:Doubtful. Bortles made all 5 WRs at UCF into studs. Typically the QB makes the WR appear a little better than they are. Coopers 2nd year, he explodes.

See Bortles doesn't even need Hurns to throw 5 TDs. He's REALLY good
he obviously doesnt need Cooper either genius. Do you even football?

Why would we need Amari Cooper if we have Robinson and Hurns? And Julius Thomas, Lee, Greene, Walters.....

I'm glad we have Fowler, the kid is going to be a sack machine with the rest of our FA's and draft picks.

1. We have the best WR corps in the league

2. We have the worst pass rush in the league

1. We don't need Amari Cooper

2. We absolutely need Dante Fowler

We made the right pick. Amari Cooper would cannibalize Hurns and Robinson's ops and (which is fine since he's good) but we'd still be looking for a pass rusher. The Allen Bros. have 18 TDs. Who even cares anymore about a wide receiver. Cooper isn't better than Allen Robinson and Hurns is barely a notch below

Imagine if we drafted dante fowler and he was a stud pass rusher...
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Everyone forgets just how much of a disruption fowler was on the field. He was everywhere and caused havoc in the backfield in college.

If we get anything like that from him at the nfl level, there wouldn't even be room for threads like this.

If Bortles turns wide receivers into studs then we don't need Cooper in the first place.

Fowler was the right pick and the lack of pass rush this season without him has proven that. If he sucks for the next 2 years then make this post but right now it's dumb

If you're going to troll at least say Leonard Williams. I doubt Amari Cooper would have given us any more wins this year, Williams could have put a couple extra W's on the board...

Williams could if put a couple more wins on the board? Yeah no, he is not a pass rusher this team needs

Give us a decent lineman in the Colts game and we win imo, same with the tacks game last week.

I'm not saying Fowler was the wrong pick but I'd take Williams over Cooper. Cooper wouldn't add much to the team as it is now, Blake can only throw it so many times in a game.

Quote:Everyone on draft day KNOWS Amari Cooper was the right pick. Yes, our defense sucks but if we had Amari Cooper, we would have the best offense in the NFL for the next 10-15 years. Bad choice.

You [BAD WORD REMOVED] about the defense in 50% of your posts and now you [BAD WORD REMOVED] that we made the wrong choice by not drafting a receiver.  Who's to say we're not already going to have one of the best offense in the league for the next 10-15 years.

Putz.

Quote:Fowler is a bust. 14 sacks in 3 years at UF. Big deal. Like Clowney, a bust. Like JokeEL a bust. Move on.

It's kind of ironic...you calling someone a joke.

These our all fun and games to play but it didn't and still doesn't make sense to draft him. Number one, there are only so many balls to go around. Between Robinson, Hurns, and now Thomas coming around, the bulk of the balls are going to them. Not much left to go around after that.

Pre draft last year our pass rush needed a lift, to say the least. News flash, it still does. Taking a pass rusher looked good then, and it still does now given the state of the pass rush overall.

I don't get the line of thinking sometimes on this message board

We should sign Hakeem Nicks as a mentor to our young WRs.

Wait, you're calling Fowler a bust without having played a down in the NFL? Your basing it on his college numbers, really?

JJ Watt had 11.5 sacks in college, drafted 11th overall.

Justin Houston had 20 sacks in 3 years at Georgia, led NFL with 22 in 2014.

Just two of many examples. You can not be for real.

This only diminishes taking Cooper then. Great job supporting your argument
