Reminds me on twitter when Pete Prisco was saying the Texans should've drafted Bortles and Matt Miller replied saying how talking about how he led the NFL in int's. But yet didn't mention how he was 2nd only to Tom Brady himself in TD passes. Matt Miller sucks Derek Carr's and Teddy Bridgewaters nuts. He even was saying how Teddy was the best QB since Luck to enter that draft.

No it won't. Jacksonville is stuck with the stigma of being the NFL's third choice for its two expansion teams. It never grew as expected, it put on the worst hosting job of any Super Bowl city in memory, it's had attendance problems on and off since the early 2000's, and the team has been a near-total joke since 2003. Winning can only solve the latter two issues. A surprise population boom and second Super Bowl opportunity would be the only way to cure the latter.

 

St. Louis does suck, though.

Jacksonville had 900k when it got the team. It has 1.5 million now, having surpassed New Orleans and Buffalo. Would you suggest that New Orleans and Buffalo don't deserve teams?


Fan support for this franchise has been outstanding since Shad bought the team. Consider that prior to this year, the Jags started 0-7 for three--count 'em three--years in a row. That means that by mid October, while fans of most teams are thinking playoffs, Jags fans are thinking about the draft. And yet fans - 60k or more -consistently show up.
