Quote:At least there is a good chance the Falcons won't take a QB. I still don't want them ahead of us. I'm not sure we'll take a QB 1st overall - I also don't want the Falcons to take Clowney or Barr etc

After a tumultuous first half of the season for our new regime and team I was really banking on the #1 pick to help us out but recently the light bulb seems to have gone on and the team is competitive again and I'm enjoying the wins as they come. Otherwise we'll just be whining win or lose so what's the point of even being interested.
No pain, no gain.

There it shows Superbowl winning qbs. And only 33% were drafted #1 over all. That means we have a greater chance of being super bowl bound not having the number one pick. A 67% chance of winning the super bowl not having the number one pick. That is why you never tank for that special qb.

Quote:http://www.sportsdatallc.com/2012/01/31/...inning-qb/That's a very bad stat.. 33% = 1 single pick, 67% for every other pick in the draft.. you'd like to think that 200+ picks have a better chance of producing a QB than 1.
We are way in the first pick race, ATL and Minn won so Houston is the only team under us

Quote:http://www.sportsdatallc.com/2012/01/31/...inning-qb/ After all the hype Andrew Luck got as the undisputed #1 pick and RG III right behind him you can make a strong case that Wilson as a third round selection is the best pro of them all. You don't play in today's NFL thinking about off-season implications. The culture of the franchise would be hanging in the balance. Teams like Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Minnesota and even Houston as we saw today are trying to win games still.
No pain, no gain.
Why do people keep using Russell Wilson as an example that we must find that "diamond in the rough" qb prospect?
Quote:http://www.sportsdatallc.com/2012/01/31/...inning-qb/ 33% is a huge percentage. That should make you want the 1st pick that much more.
