***Official 2016 NFL Scouting Combine Thread***

Quote:I was looking over Nkemdiche's numbers. He is pretty close to Watt in terms of athleticism for his density. He should be a force player.

So Nkemdiche is denser and has a better 40 and 10 yard split while being just a hair behind in the jumps. Nkemdiche's arms are also 34 inches long like Watt's. Too bad he doesn't have half the character Watt has. Man if he wasn't a [BAD WORD REMOVED] he would be the best player in this draft by far.
Assuming Nkemdiche does well in the shuttles and 3 cone like we expect, he will be the top SPARQ DL this year and roughly 90th percentile overall. Really good of course, but Watt is 99.9%.

I have heard that Vernon might be the best corner in the draft in the last decade, while I've read that jalen ramsey is the answer the Jaguars were looking for at FS.....

In a lot of mock drafts they show the Chargers taking Jalen Ramsey so maybe Vernon will be #5 by default.  Cowboys take J. Bose off the board.

Quote:Let's say best case scenario Jalen Ramsey plays like Ed Reed and Vernon Hargreaves plays like Darrell Green. If you could only pick one which would you want or think that will help out the Jaguars the best going fwd?

Ed Reed every time.

say the jaguars get Myles jack in Rd 1 and Nkemdiche is sitting there in rd 2, in free agency we already added Gipson, and Vernon, do you take the gamble?

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Too many red flags for me:

the 2nd round seems too risky to grab him even though the reward could be massive. I'd grab him early third though, if he lasted.

Quote:I assume if Jalen Ramsey is available that GM Dave Caldwell would draft him to be a ball hawking FS. Where Vernon would be solely as a CB with House on the other side.

lol @ you saying Ramsey is a ballhawk

James Bradberry with a 4.46. Definitely could be a mid-round player on interest.

NFL.com has Artie Burns at 4.95. That's a typo right?
