"Cowboys not interested in Myles Jack"

Quote:IIRC, The Cowboys strength on defense is at LB with McClain and Lee. They need help along the DL and in the secondary.
yeah its not that far fetched they dont like him.

Buckner is a big possibility for Dallas as well if they like him at 3 tech. Said Bosa a couple post back but meant Jack

The only certainty in the top 5 right now is that St Louis is taking a GB and Dallas can't take tonsil. If SD wants tonsil then they could land at five and pick up an extra 3rdish draft choice. If we are after the same guy as Dallas then we could move ahead of them.

I still think it was a mistake to have vice ketchman talking about darelle revis on draft day in 07.

I feel this way. Leaves multiple players to pick form and hope whoever we do take works out for us.

Dallas has removed tonsil...

...from their draft board.

Stop with the undersized spiel.

Patrick Willis - 6'1 242

Luke - 6'3 242  (someone said 235 in this thread, but this was his official playing weight last season)

C.J Mosley - 6'2 242

Bobby Wagner - 6'0 241

Myles Jack 6'1 245 - we need him to lose weight to that magical 242 elite playing weight /s

I bet they aren't interested because of his knee concussion.

I wonder if Jacksonville ever removed tonsil.....

St Louis isn't in this draft, and certainly wont get the Packers.

Quote:This might be one of the most uninformed post I've seen on this board in a loooong time, you're seriously trying to make the case for Ragland over Jack? Myles doesn't need to gain a pound, he's 240+ lbs and runs like a deer. The lull in the draft process causes people to "overthink" it.

I think my post might not have been clear which caused your misinterpretation of what I was trying to convey, because I didn't say that Ragland was a better athlete than Myles Jack.  I meant to start week 1 at MLB, yes Ragland is more likely ready to  play (heck Myles Jack will probably not even be healthy enough to play week 1 in any role, let alone a position that he has to gain weight for in Jaguars defensive scheme).  If you look at athlete taking away the injury Myles Jack is better especially at coverage, but he's really an OLB.  The thing I was trying to say is if people really want Myles Jack because they are Poz haters (which IMO is where a lot of it comes from) than I really dont see the Jaguars GM going that way because Poz is still the better MLB than Myles Jack.. sorry that's my opinion you can have your own..

It doesnt matter I don't see Myles Jack as being the pick at #5 because Jaguars are going with Jalen Ramsey (though the meeting with Myles Jack does have me wondering if I'm wrong)...

Gil Brandt (whom knows Dallas very well) even removed Myles Jack from Dallas equations so I do think that Dallas won't pick Myles Jack at #4 but rather Joey Bosa.

Why do you think Jack won't be able to play week one? I have never heard once that this injury would even hold him back from practicing in august let alone missing any games. Also people want Myles Jack not because they hate Poz but because he is just such a good athlete and can provide things not many players can. He has elite coverage ability for his position and the ability to be a good player right out the gate.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/151592...d-decision

Did I read this story right did the Colts HC call Myles Jack a 'punk'?

Says Mathieu: "Give him three years and he's going to be one of the top five linebackers in this league. You hardly ever see someone that big and that explosive. If he's not even 100 percent now, I'm terrified to see what he looks like then."

I don't know a guy that only played 2 years in college, and has a very serious injury with a repair surgery that is a huge unknown being drafted in the Top 5, what are we talking about here?  I mean in a draft that you are almost guaranteed an elite guy in the top 10 the Jaguars want to draft the highest risk one (sure possibly the biggest reward, but still very risky)... its not like the Jaguars have a good rep of drafting in the 1st round so why not right?

Yeah, a meniscus injury is a 4-6 month recovery process I believed. He hurt it way back in August/September last year. He'll be good to go for the season.

I am no Mrs. Cleo, but for right now I'm going to stick with my guess that Myles Jack falls out of the Top 5 and is drafted maybe the Ravens or 49ers.
