"Cowboys not interested in Myles Jack"
|
I've seen this in multiple places now.
http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas-c...myles-jack He was not a part of the Cowboys 30 visits. Barring the Chargers taking him it looks like he will be there when we pick and I bet Dave and Gus know it. I don't think I've heard about Dave and Gus flying out to work out players before. I bet they're seriously considering him at 5 and aren't bothering to hide their interest because they know he'll be there. "A man with no sauce is lost.

Hopefully the telegraphing that's going on doesn't entice someone to jump us for him if he truly is tops on our board.
So far we've heard that they aren't interested in Jack, aren't interested in Bosa, and they have Ramsey as the #1 player on their board. So I guess if the Chargers take Ramsey at 3 they are completely screwed huh?
This just in- the Cowboys have forfitted their 1st round pick on account of them not liking any of the prospects.
Quote:I've seen this in multiple places now. But if the doctors come back with any doubt, I'm not sure how you can take him that early. That's what teams are worried about, just a little bit of doubt. Because at the combine, the doctors found a little bit of doubt with that knee, so what the re-checks say will really be the key variable that's missing right now for Jack's stock." -From your link... ------------------------------ I've been saying this for a long time.. people who want Myles Jack say to replace Poz but Reggie Ragland is the most likely to start & be ready at MLB not Myles Jack whom would have to gain weight & might not even be healthy enough to play week 1 which immediately drops his value outside of the Top 5 IMO. Mock drafts from media aren't always right.. and I think they are wrong on where Myles Jack goes.. maybe next year he'll be fantastic & many years after that but the jaguars need to win now... GM & HC jobs are on the line the same reason they wont draft LT Tunsil if he's there is the reason why they wont take Myles Jack.. they need a guy that can help win this year on week 1.. and neither of them will be able to have as huge of an impact as say a Bosa, Buckner, Ramsey or Vernon Hargeaves III would... First of all, Jack and Ragland are completely different types of players. Myles Jack is much more of a modern player who is equipped to deal with coverage responsibilities. Ragland is a clone of Poz. Secondly, Jack does not need to gain any weight. He already weighs 10 pounds more than Luke Kuechly, who weighs 235 and doesn't seem to have a problem at that weight. The medical report on the knee is the only problem.

I don't think this is a smokescreen. They didn't even have him in for a visit. Not to mention they have no reason to smokescreen this.

Best case scenario is QBs 1&2, SD going Tunsil, and Dallas going Buckner. Hello to Ramsey/Jack/Bosa.

This might be one of the most uninformed post I've seen on this board in a loooong time, you're seriously trying to make the case for Ragland over Jack? Myles doesn't need to gain a pound, he's 240+ lbs and runs like a deer. The lull in the draft process causes people to "overthink" it.

If Bosa is at the top of Daves board and feels Dallas is gonna take him we could trade with SD to jump Dallas. Which I feel Bosa is the guy we want. We will see next week. I read nothing in to this though.
IIRC, The Cowboys strength on defense is at LB with McClain and Lee. They need help along the DL and in the secondary.
