At this point in time, I'm more proud they have won 4 of 5 than my concern is for being unable to get the players we need due to the lower draft pick. Good things tend to happen to teams that win, so I think/ hope we'll be alright in the end.

I love seeing my Jags win, trust me I do. But unless the jaguars somehow make to the playoffs, wins at this point do nothing but maybe build moral and please fans. Getting a QB is essential for the team no matter how you try and slice it. Screw getting one of the Qbs from this draft. We need whoever Caldwell thinks is the best for our team. Like I said, the wins are great and I totally understand why a team wouldn't want to tank. But I'd hate to see our team miss out on something great for pointless wins....

But again, as said, I won't care as long as we still end up as consistent winners. 

Considering the texans' history with the number one pick, that wouldn't be such a bad thing.

I can hardly read Krayz' drivel and didn't slog though this thread beyond the first several posts. J-Mizzal was right, you don't start tanking this early in the season.

 

Besides, these guys are all professionals and, in a lot of cases (ex MJD), are fighting for another contract (either here for or elsewhere by putting together good tape). Go tell MJD to "ease up" a little. Yeah, right...he's working for a new deal.

 

Wouldn't it suck to play for Bridge-W and then have it turn out that he sucks anyway? Or gets injured in pre-season and is out for the year? Or is suspended by the league for whatever?

 

Hell no, I'll take this anytime. What a ride.

The draft is so far away, so many things could change by then. Teddy may not even be the top QB taken. He really hasn't lived up to his lofty expectations and people are already picking his game apart.


Everyone jumped on his wagon after the bowl game saying he was the 2nd best QB prospect in the last decade but now people are coming back down to earth on him.


So there is still a chance he falls to us. Would be nice to see happen

That said....ain;t no one gonna convince me that the Texans aren't tanking for that first pick. That last couple drives were ridiculous.....Schaub had the WR open on the route on 4th down.....

 

and on the play that was the game winning INT, Schaub literally threw it right at our defender.

 

The Colts tanked in 2011 and the Texans are tanking this year.

Well, first of all, tanking on purpose would be a felony.  

 

Secondly, if the Texans wanted to tank on purpose, they wouldn't have put in Schaub.   He was much better than Keenum last night.   Keenum and Andre Johnson have apparently never been introduced to each other.   We were pretty comfortably in control of that game until they inserted Schaub.
