We would only be setting ourselves up if you believe our GM and Coach still suck. They clearly don't. I don't know how you can compare this to 2011, that team couldn't string 2 wins back to back much less 4 out of 5 games. This is magic we are watching, I haven't seen the Jag's get hot like this in a long time. I am begining to believe we will be one of those 2 year turn around.

If we were 2-12 then you complain about tanking, but we are 4-9, you dont start tanking that early in the year, you have to build a winning culture

We have cap room, we have 10 draft picks, we have young ascending talent, this team will be a huge turn around team, all we need is a QB, and more depth

Look, at the beginning of the year we all agreed that this team needed far more than a QB-- it looked like we needed every freaking position to be filled (except for arguably our kickers and two OTs).

 

Now?  We're seeing noticeable improvement in the team. They're playing well together, they have TONS of energy, they seem to have a drive to perform above their talent levels.


Isn't it better to be seeing team-wide improvement instead of seeing a team stuck in the bottom of the standings, pinning all hopes on a COMPLETE team turnaround solely on one (albeit important) position?

I'm actually enjoying watching the Jags again. It's not a chore anymore.  I like it.  That, in and of itself, is far more important than pinning hopes on Teddy, and suffering for it if he doesn't perform up to Luck or Wilson levels.

Yeah win was good, always good to win. Of course you look to the future and see the Texans possibly drafting an all-pro QB. It is a lot easier to enjoy football when you are short -sighted and ignorant though. So just remember, out of sight, out of mind. Enjoy the win.

im sad we wont have that first pick.  but I will never be sad abut winning. hoping we can build a lot of momentium going into next year. plus pick 8-16 isn't to late to get a quarterback a lot of the best were mid first round picks. just gotta hope Caldwell makes the right choice.
