Bad tanking.... again
|
Quote:I love seeing my Jags win, trust me I do. But unless the jaguars somehow make to the playoffs, wins at this point do nothing but maybe build moral and please fans. Getting a QB is essential for the team no matter how you try and slice it. Screw getting one of the Qbs from this draft. We need whoever Caldwell thinks is the best for our team. Like I said, the wins are great and I totally understand why a team wouldn't want to tank. But I'd hate to see our team miss out on something great for pointless wins.... No win is pointless, and I think by winning, the Jaguars are actually doing themselves a favor by getting out of the Bridgewater sweepstakes. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Only a complete idiot would think he' intentionally tank knowing he could be unemployed as a result.Admittedly Keeping Kubiak as coach could be considered evidence of tanking. Quote:Because head coaches coming off a 12-4 season and a division title are always on the hot seat, right? There were definitely signs that this kind of implosion was possible. The tinhorn fans have been complaining about him for years as a underachiever. I tend to agree. He got that first winning record - kept his job, first playoff birth - kept it again. With the talent on that team he should have gone further than he has, now he looks like he is closing their window. Where is a useless Texan fan when you need one? I know I have seen a post about him every year, and how is not the guy over in the AFC south forums. He is certainly one of the least well liked coaches among his fan base and that isn't exclusive to this year. Then again, Texans fans have deluded themselves into thinking that they actually have Super Bowl talent on that roster, so everything they say can be taken with a grain of salt.
LEONARD FOURNETTE FAN CLUB PRESIDENT. I WAS BEHIND HIM WHEN YOU ALL SAID HE WAS BRANDON JACOBS. QUIT HATING ON THE JAGUARS. GUS IS GONE. COUGHLIN HAS RESTORED ORDER. FOURNETTE IS FRED TAYLOR. DONT BELIEVE ME JUST WATCH.

I know I have seen a post about him every year, and how is not the guy over in the AFC south forums.I'm not dismissing the fact that there were signs of trouble for the team. But, winning the division and posting 12 wins a year ago will normally give a head coach some leeway with the owner when the team goes through the kind of struggles Houston has this year. The team has been over-hyped and hasn't lived up to expectations. They showed signs they were headed in the right direction last year, and that success had them installed as one of the favorites this year. It fell apart pretty quickly for them, and I certainly won't shed a tear, but I don't think the fact that Kubiak hasn't been fired is some sign they're tanking. Even if it's true they're tanking, so what? Unless you really think Bridgewater is going to be this sure thing franchise QB, I tend to think they're actually doing the Jaguars a favor. That's IF they pick him. It's possible they could decide to go with Clowney instead. I think I'd be more disappointed by that than Bridgewater. Never argue with idiots. You're probably getting bashed because you're a flaming idiot, Krayz. I'll give you one thing, man. At least you're consistent.

I honestly don't even know if we would take Clowney over Barr. He has effort concerns, and that seems to be the thing that doesn't jive with Bradley.

As much as I love taking for the #1 pick, I'm finding myself quite impressed by the development of our coaching staff and players. If we have a competent GM and Coach, I'll take that anyday over any 1 player in this draft. GMs and Coaches also don't get hurt.
Heck, I was even happy about the 20 yard incompletion last night. The fact that Henne does something more than checkdowns is very satisfying. ... oh, i did do a quick google on Derek Carr this morning. Not bad .. 45 Tds & 5 Ints. I broke down one of his games and analyzed it, it was phenomenal. He's playing in his conference championship tomorrow and I'm gonna break that down as well.

I'm curious: why would Khan spend millions of dollars to hire a smart and knowledgeable GM to make valuable draft decisions when all we have to do is lose every game on purpose?
Khan is stupid. Tanking is smart. Quote:I'm curious: why would Khan spend millions of dollars to hire a smart and knowledgeable GM to make valuable draft decisions when all we have to do is lose every game on purpose?Yes this is it. Khan isn't tanking, so that we can suck, so that we can move the team. It all makes sense!

I've made this point over and over again....
A ) Bridgewater isn't the only QB in the draft and he certainly isn't a once in a lifetime QB B ) If Caldwell really likes Bridgewater, or any other QB, we have the draft picks to make a move C ) I'd rather see the team finish at 6-10 or 7-9, because that means as a TEAM we're closer than many thought. And with a few key pieces, one being a mildly competent and consistent quarterback, we could be pretty darn good. ![]() Quote:Carr's a stud. I would be extremely happy if we get him. I heard that argument, just 2 days ago.
