Bears and Cowboys

Watching the game and seeing what Jeffery can do made me sad. Why can't the Jags ever hit on a stud like that guy? Jeebus we've had some terrible GM's. Also I cut Jeffery the week before he got off and became a stud in fantasy. Shame on me for not having patience.

If Gene Smith wouldn't have traded up to draft Justin Blackmon,  it would have been interesting to have seen if he would have taken Alshon Jeffrey in Round 2.

Many teams likely already regret passing on Jeffrey.  In the case of the 49ers,  they drafted a WR in Round 1  ( A.J. Jenkins )  that they already traded.  Basically in the type of deal that both the 49ers and Chiefs gave up on a WR they drafted in Round 1, hoping that they would hit lightening in a bottle with the other team's football trash.

In addition to the 49ers,  it looks like the Jets made a huge mistake drafting WR Stephen Hill over Jeffrey.

I'm sure many teams regret passing on Jeffery and other guys. The Jags just have not drafted well and have not hit on a guy like Jeffery. Maybe with the new regime we will see some middle and late round guys that turnout to be beasts!

With the Jaguars currently having a pletera of middle round picks in the 2014 Draft,  one thing I can envision Dave Caldwell doing is using some of those picks on players that have huge upside. With the attitude that if the Jaguars hit on even one of those selections,  it would change the complexion of the roster in a substantial positive way.

I know. Did he forget something about knocking down quarterbacks?

Sometimes in the heat of battle,  a player will fail to play with the discipline and focus needed.

This was an atypical game for George Selvie.  Unfortunately,  it came at a bad time.

Yeah, he was having a pretty good season. I loved seeing the Bears get automatic first downs, but wished a different Cowboy did it.
