It is like Eli is not nearly as good as Peyton. Only identical twins can have equal talent levels, and the McCowns are not.
When Jay Cutler was out with a different injury, I kept thinking we had the wrong McCown brother. Josh makes him expendable if he finds a job somewhere else. My question about the Bears now is, "Why did they wait so long to retire #89?"
BTW George Selvie was the lineman charged with a roughing the passer penalty.

Quote:Eli's two SB rings say different. Eli rode a great defense and running game, paired with a a couple of hot streaks to his two super bowls. If you look at his career statistics he's an average QB. He's not even good enough to hold his brothers jock strap. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

He's not even good enough to hold his brothers jock strap. Who cares if he doesn't have the same stats? He has been fantastic in the 4th quarter of important games and led a Super Bowl winning last-minute scoring drive against arguably the best regular season team in NFL history. I don't understand all the hate on this guy. He is a great quarterback who thrives under pressure.
We should have drafted Jeffery instead of Branch, atleast he would be on the field(not suspended).
He & Shorts would be shredding defenses right now. Man just to think of what we could have had, its sickening. I like Branch in our new scheme and when we had first drafted him because we needed DLine badly, but just one piece on the line wont help. Jeffery would have been a day 1 starter.

There is indisputable video evidence Peyton > Eli in every way except Super Bowl rings.

A lot of fans on this board were hating on Jeffery for off-field reasons before the draft. I don't think anybody saw Blackmon's DUI as worse than whatever Jeffery did. But I can't remember what people were complaining about. Of course, when you don't have a good quarterback, even the best wide receivers will look average. What does Andre Branch have to do with the Cowboys and Bears? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I've never seen $108 million sitting on a bench until tonight.
Al Davis lives on through Jerruh Jones.
Quote:I've never seen $108 million sitting on a bench until tonight. Jerry Jones has never been a good owner and Tony Romo is overrated.

Oh, I wasnt trying to make it seem like i was adding him into the convo to be about that but to the fact he was drafted 7-8 slots earlier and has 1/3 of the production of Jeffery's. You think with Blackmon, Jeffery, and Shorts all at starting WR we wouldnt be .500? Even if we had Todd Bouman out there. IMO

It does not matter how good your wide receivers are if your quarterback can't scramble out of the pocket, throw the ball on the run, and put it right where it should be caught. Jason Garrett is fortunate that Jerry Jones is the owner of the Cowboys. Garrett figuratively has 9 football lives as Cowboys HC. Garrett made a bad in game decision in this contest, that really stood out.
The Bears are leading 27-14 with around 11:20 remaining in the 3rd QTR. Not one time up to that point in the game did the Cowboys prevent the Bears from scoring points on a drive. The Cowboys had the ball at the Bears 41 yard line, in a 4th and 4 situation. Garrett foolishly elects to punt! Not surprising to anyone but Garrett and maybe one or two other people in the entire country, the Bears marched down the field with an 85 yard TD drive. That ended the game for all practical purposes, with the Bears converting on their attempt to go for 2 points on top of everything else.

Garrett made a bad in game decision in this contest, that really stood out. You are criticizing Jason Garrett for doing the same thing Gus Bradley did many times during the Cardinals game. Garrett has nine lives in Dallas because he has never been a part of any other NFL team as either a player or coach. Quote:You are criticizing Jason Garrett for doing the same thing Gus Bradley did many times during the Cardinals game. The Jaguars forced the Cardinals to punt 4 times in the first half of that game. How many times did the Cowboys force the Bears to punt in the first half? The answer to that question will illustrate why Gus Bradley's strategy was vastly different than Jason Garrett's strategy. Jason Garrett was with several other teams as a player and was with one other team as a coach.

That must have been the first time Adam Podlesh only came on to hold the ball. He never punted. Where was Justin Durant? I thought he was supposed to be back from his injury by now. Justin Durant practiced last week but was on the Game Day Inactive List for the game at Chicago. It's likely that the Cowboys brass didn't feel that Durant was healthy enough to be one of the team's top 46 options.
