Quote:Did Trump break the law by not paying taxes? NO No he gamed the system. He'll continue to make sure the system works for his 1%'er friends. He's not here to fix your problems. What has he said that makes you think he has a plan that will benefit the workers? A vat tax? Telling Japan to pay us money? Tell Saudi Arabia to pay us money? Stealing Iraq's oil? None of his policies help anyone. Investment in education. Investment in infrastruction (roads, bridges, etc), Investment in clean energy, these help the country and the middle class.
So in Palm beach alone Trump paid 1.2 million in property taxes I can only imagine what his total real estate property tax amount is. The guy pays a fortune in taxes but probably not enough for everyones liking. I'm sure when the income tax return does become common knowledge they will attack the man for it but when you own as much property as Trump does the vast majority of taxes you are paying are property taxes.
I would be more infuriated with Trump paying 0 in property taxes than Trump paying 0 in income taxes. I'll add in that in my opinion no one should have to pay income taxes

Quote:So basically you're saying it's cool for the wealthy to flow through losses from a company into their own personal taxes in order to evade paying into our country. of course it's ok for flow through entities to FLOW THROUGH to their owners... not seeing the connection to TPP. i see no argument unraveling. you said he doesn't pay taxes... he does. you were wrong. just move on.
Quote:I disagree. I think this debate proves what we all know about trump. That he is an extremely effective businessman who has used the existing tax structure to legally maximize his revenue in the private market? Based Donald Trump, can't wait to see how he maximizes the tax revenue of the United States. Thanks for correcting my record. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:That's not how it works. It just means that he takes deductions and loses that it ends up that he doesn't owe anything. He would still have to file the returns. I've spent many hours looking at 1065's, 1120S and 1120's that makes it really annoying that we think it's cool that these rich jerks get to get off from paying taxes. It's a joke, and it's a theft to workers that don't have these types of breaks we can use. What has trump said he would do to reduce these loopholes? Has he even mentioned his loopholes and how he would reduce them?

I'm sure when the income tax return does become common knowledge they will attack the man for it but when you own as much property as Trump does the vast majority of taxes you are paying are property taxes. No he didn't. His company paid property taxes... He paid nothing. That's what's so upsetting.
And it's not even upsetting. If he wants to get off from paying taxes fine. But don't come here and say how we all live in hell, when you're not willing to pay your fair share.
It's cool that he found those loopholes. Good for him. But that doesn't really make him worthy of a working class person's vote. We all sacrifice for this country. Some people even go to war and put themselves in harms way. This guy doesn't even pay taxes. That's why he's not disclosing. He realizes how dispicable it is and he's ashamed of it. - this is my speculation We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:No he didn't. His company paid property taxes... He paid nothing. That's what's so upsetting. you're not making any sense. Trump IS his companies... Quote:And it's not even upsetting. Quote:No he didn't. His company paid property taxes... He paid nothing. That's what's so upsetting. so a company that he owns paid a tax. isn't he responsible for his companies? Doesn't the company pay him? Any money the company pays is through Trump right? If I own a business I pay my businesses taxes. If you make a business successful enough that it can take care of itself that should be viewed as a negative? Is that what you are saying?

Quote:of course it's ok for flow through entities to FLOW THROUGH to their owners... It's OK to flow through losses to billionaires. Is it not OK for companies to find workers in other countries? How's it different? Quote:It's OK to flow through losses to billionaires. if they indeed have losses for a particular year... if they have too many consecutive years of loss then they would't be billionaires anymore. this is common sense stuff. plus the IRS will come knocking if you claim too many losses in consecutive years. at which point... you aint getting away with anything. this is known. it's ok for companies to do whatever they want. we just shouldn't make it more beneficial for them to do so by creating a trade deficit. i still fail to see how that has any relation to Trump's personal finances. Quote:so a company that he owns paid a tax. A company he recieves income from, probably from Officer Compensation on top of earned income contributions in addition to basis distributions. The taxes are not coming out of his pocket. The taxes are coming from the fixed costs of doing business. I You mention your business... Do you own a sole prop? An LLC that files as a 1065, or 1120? You have expenses that you can take as an LLC that you can't take as a sole prop which will reduce your tax exposure. Very wealthy people can get out of paying taxes if they structure thier businesses correctly. Even small businesses cannot get the tax protections that wealthy people can. It's just a fact. Sorry, I see it every day. But again, it's fine. He's smart. He got out of paying taxes. But don't come at me and tell me you're gonna make America Great Again, when you have done nothing of the sort your entire life. You've made yourself great, you did nothing for the workers. that's fine. But that doesn't make you worthy of being Commander in Chief. Quote:No, it's another lie. see the article from politifact (hardly a right wing site)Hardly a lie. Don't remember anybody claiming it as fact, further do not remember Donald disputing the question when it was put out. You're reaching

You've made yourself great, you did nothing for the workers. that's fine. What about the 30,000+ people he employs has he done nothing for them? I'm not saying the man is a saint but he has shown to run some sustainable businesses that employ a lot of people and those businesses tend to succeed more than they fail.
