I watched this really cool old school Japanese war movie about the Feudal era in the late 1500s the other night on Netflix. It's called "Kagemusha". It was released in 1980 I think. And it was directed by one of Japan's most beloved Directors. The movie almost didn't happen due to budget but I think some well respected American directors pushed FOX to get it released back then. Pretty cool flick though.
"What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing; Rush in and die, dogs - I was a man before I was a king."

Pretty cool flick though. Kurosawa was the director, and George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola persuaded 20th Century Fox to make up a shortfall in the budget. I don't remember ever seeing the film. I just looked it up in Wikipedia. I'll have to try and see it.
Sully was awesome however I would not recommend watching it a day or so before you fly. What was I thinking?

Just got back from watching Deepwater Horizon. Not a bad movie. John Malkovich once again proved why he's one of my favorite actors.

Quote:Did he mention if it was worth it or not? Since he picked it up in an ecology class trip to the Florida prairie to look at plants...probably not.
