The two examples I used wouldn't have half the issues Gus currently has. The players do whatever they want because Gus has absolutely no respect in the locker room. This has been plainly obvious the past few weeks from Odrick, to Ramsey, to Fowler, to Jackson to the league leading penalties. Those coaches demand respect and a player wouldn't dare do what they are currently doing freelancing and playing with no control. Do you think the players are out in practice getting better and learning their craft everyday? THE ENTIRE TEAM IS REGRESSING ON A WEEKLY BASIS. You wonder why the players look bad? It's not for lack of talent.

Prior to now, I have not only defended, but praised Caldwell. I was wrong. Here's my top 5 list of Dave's worst moves:

 

1. Hiring Bradley

2. Adding another year to Bradley's contract after having one of the worst records as a head coach in NFL history.

3. Drafting Blake Bortles with the 3rd pick of the draft.

4. Drafting Luke Joeckel with the 2nd pick.

5. Drafting Dante Fowler when Leonard Williams was available.

 

He is still better than Gene Smith. Imagine Gene Smith as general manager and Gus Bradley as his head coach?

Shad may give Caldwell 1 more year after this with a new head coach.

The LT is a wash. He was universally touted as the best player in the entire draft and the most safe pick you could make in a weak class.


The QB was pretty good last year and fell off the cliff this year. That's not normal. That points directly to coaching and development.


Picking top 5 isn't the GMs fault. He doesn't have anything to do with the games being played leading to those records. I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

I just don't think you can excuse the hiring of Bradley just because it was first hire and he has made some smart moves. That, along with the 3 potential top 10 busts in a row is enough to get him fired. Linder and Telvin are nice players and all but every GM hits a few of them.

We all know you hate Caldwell, whether he goes or not at this point, I frankly don't care.  However, there is more talent then what's showing up tonight.  These dudes are throwing this game on purpose.

Monroe retired that is.. And i believe he would have been more productive then Joeckel.. And those scrubs might have been better then the Cypriens and Gratz of the world..Im not gonna bring up tge countless other wasted picks like our Offensive Weapon Denard Robinson... I don't hate him I was rooting for this to work but it's beyond obvious that it's not. I had problems with blowing up the roster this is why. You have to hit on almost every pick to blow up a roster and rebuild it in four years. It never works

Mojo was done. He did absolutely nothing in Oakland and ended up retiring a season later.


Daryl Smith is now out of the league.


Pot roast. Home eating pot roast.


Forsett. Had one good year. Was cut twice this year and is now a backup in Detroit.


Scobee. Sitting home watching the game like the rest of us.


Marshall is the only player you can say would be a contributor today but who is he playing in place of? We can't even seem to get Myles Jack on the field.


Edit: Forgot JT Thomas. He's currently a backup (on IR). We certainly aren't missing his presence here considering again our coaching staff can't seem to get Myles Jack on the field.

Only good player on this list is brandon marshall the lb from denver. Pot roast is a free agent, jt thomas isnt good, mojo wouldnt have done anything, daryl would be gone by now, forsett is an average back who caught one good year in a fitting scheme
