Dave Caldwell needs to go right along with Gus
|
Quote:He had as much role in selecting players as any coach would who answers directly to a team GM. Don't start making up stuff now. Who's making stuff up, we had this discussion years ago. The giants have a committee selection and personal just like the jags did under shack and JDR. Some teams like us under Caldwell and Smith divide the roles and have GM's exclusively in charge or personel. You asked would a better coach do more with this roster. The two examples you used would cut half this team tommorrow. I'm pretty sure Gus doesn't have that autonomy at least I can't remember the last time some one screwed up and was cut the next day, you've seen coughlin do it do obviously he had more of a role in personel. This roster sucks, bring in any coach I don't care who Bortles wind up isn't changing. Yeldon doesn't suddenly become mjd. The line isn't all of the sudden rock solid. Maybe Ramsey and Fowler stop looking like idiots? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Who's making stuff up, we had this discussion years ago. The players do whatever they want because Gus has absolutely no respect in the locker room. This has been plainly obvious the past few weeks from Odrick, to Ramsey, to Fowler, to Jackson to the league leading penalties. Those coaches demand respect and a player wouldn't dare do what they are currently doing freelancing and playing with no control. Do you think the players are out in practice getting better and learning their craft everyday? THE ENTIRE TEAM IS REGRESSING ON A WEEKLY BASIS. You wonder why the players look bad? It's not for lack of talent.

Prior to now, I have not only defended, but praised Caldwell. I was wrong. Here's my top 5 list of Dave's worst moves:
1. Hiring Bradley 2. Adding another year to Bradley's contract after having one of the worst records as a head coach in NFL history. 3. Drafting Blake Bortles with the 3rd pick of the draft. 4. Drafting Luke Joeckel with the 2nd pick. 5. Drafting Dante Fowler when Leonard Williams was available. He is still better than Gene Smith. Imagine Gene Smith as general manager and Gus Bradley as his head coach? Shad may give Caldwell 1 more year after this with a new head coach.
I believe pressure is on him... If u blow a roster up and let go of good talent u better win... If u draft a qb top 5 he better pan out.. So far Caldwell has failed... The oline is still bad and his first rounder De Fowler is bad and His QB is bad .. Oh dont forget His coach and 90 million dollar man.. He has made just as many bad moves as Gus ..
Not really disagreeing at this point. But seriously, who trusts Khan to pick a good GM?

What talent did he let go of that would be helping this team now? I'll wait.

Quote:The LT is a wash. He was universally touted as the best player in the entire draft and the most safe pick you could make in a weak class. the qb was bad last year . fake stats We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I just don't think you can excuse the hiring of Bradley just because it was first hire and he has made some smart moves. That, along with the 3 potential top 10 busts in a row is enough to get him fired. Linder and Telvin are nice players and all but every GM hits a few of them.
Quote:What talent did he let go of that would be helping this team now? I'll wait. Loaded question, if we didn't plan on cutting bait on monroe you couldve spent the 1st pick on a position of need. If we didn't cut the entire secondary in year one we wouldn't have wasted a draft on gratz, mccray, evans and cyprien. Need I go on? We all know you hate Caldwell, whether he goes or not at this point, I frankly don't care. However, there is more talent then what's showing up tonight. These dudes are throwing this game on purpose. He wasn't in the teams future plans and obviously wasn't worth the 30 million dollar contract he signed in Baltimore. What good would it have done to hold onto him? We cut a bunch of scrubs in our secondary who are all out of the league now. Again, what would it have done to hold onto bottom of the roster guys?

Daryl Smith, Jt Thomas, Pot Roast, the linebacker in Denver, Forsett..Scobee.. Quote:Monroe is out of the league now. And i believe he would have been more productive then Joeckel.. And those scrubs might have been better then the Cypriens and Gratz of the world..Im not gonna bring up tge countless other wasted picks like our Offensive Weapon Denard Robinson... Those picks could have been productive Olinemans by now. Quote:We all know you hate Caldwell, whether he goes or not at this point, I frankly don't care. I had problems with blowing up the roster this is why. You have to hit on almost every pick to blow up a roster and rebuild it in four years. It never works
Quote:you're clearly the worst poster on this siteName all the talent im missing from that list then. The only one i might be missing is sheldon day but he barely plays. He did absolutely nothing in Oakland and ended up retiring a season later. Daryl Smith is now out of the league. Pot roast. Home eating pot roast. Forsett. Had one good year. Was cut twice this year and is now a backup in Detroit. Scobee. Sitting home watching the game like the rest of us. Marshall is the only player you can say would be a contributor today but who is he playing in place of? We can't even seem to get Myles Jack on the field. Edit: Forgot JT Thomas. He's currently a backup (on IR). We certainly aren't missing his presence here considering again our coaching staff can't seem to get Myles Jack on the field.

Quote:Mojo for Gerhart... Daryl Smith, Jt Thomas, Pot Roast, the linebacker in Denver, Forsett..Scobee..Only good player on this list is brandon marshall the lb from denver. Pot roast is a free agent, jt thomas isnt good, mojo wouldnt have done anything, daryl would be gone by now, forsett is an average back who caught one good year in a fitting scheme Quote:Only good player on this list is brandon marshall the lb from denver. It's understandable. They need to direct the hate at the right person though.
