Bortles latest example of Jaguars incompetence
|
Quote:N.O. has 2nd ranked passing and 31st ranked rushing.LOL thanks for proving my point.... The ONE year Brees and the Saints won the Super Bowl in 2010, they had the #7 scoring defense....otherwise you're just listing losing teams like the Jags. http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/total/sort/totalPointsPerGame/position/defense/year/2010 We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Correct! That's why the Saints can never win. The ONE year they did win, they had a competent defense. I don't have to account for anything. I pulled up the current NFL stats. Are you really saying there's a huge difference in the lack of running between the 2 teams? Also, you're arguing an entirely different point. I'm not disagreeing that we suck as a team and can't win. What I'm saying is Bortles sucks and is a huge reason why the team sucks. All the stats I have you prove that. You get hung up on scoring defense? Plenty of other quarterbacks are having great seasons with crappy defense. You get hung up on rushing get stats? Plenty of other quart backs are having great seasons with bad rushing. You say it's a combination of both? Plenty of quarterbacks are having good great seasons with bad defenses and bad rushing. I can go on and on but there's no point. You're a fan boy and will never see how bad Bortles sucks this year. His mechanics are not going to be fixed anytime soon which is going to lead to more turnovers and accuracy problems.
Quote:I don't have to account for anything. I pulled up the current NFL stats. Are you really saying there's a huge difference in the lack of running between the 2 teams? I'm saying it's IMPOSSIBLE to win in the NFL without BOTH a running game and a defense. 0% chance. 4 years of Gus Bradley he's had NO running game and NO defense. NONE. He has had a passing game. No running game and no defense equates to ZERO wins vs winning record teams in 55 tries. It's common sense.
Quote:I'm saying it's IMPOSSIBLE to win in the NFL without BOTH a running game and a defense. 0% chance. It's also near impossible to win with a terrible quarterback. Teams get by with decent quarterbacks. But not terrible. Blake is terrible. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I'm saying it's IMPOSSIBLE to win in the NFL without BOTH a running game and a defense. 0% chance. Or a QB that can't play well and keep games close in the first 3 qtrs of a game. #32 PPG offense (10.6, pathetic) Can't win like that,, ever (unless the defense limits opponents to 6 points or less in the 2nd half,, which they have done 3 TIMES this season). #32 PPG offense for 3 qtrs. Worst in the league.
Quote:It's also near impossible to win with a terrible quarterback. Teams get by with decent quarterbacks. But not terrible. What are you lying about now??? Peyton Manning was the WORST QB in the NFL last year and won the Super Bowl with 9 TDs and 17 INT. Brock Osweiler is the worst QB in NFL this year and he's going to the playoffs!! You again......don't have a clue.
Quote:Or a QB that can't play well and keep games close in the first 3 qtrs of a game. Are you Marco Rubio? All you do is repeat yourself even though the first quarter is the Jags ONLY bad quarter. It's embarrassing. Quote:Nope. No chance at all. Jaguars were the #14 offense in the NFL last year and #31 scoring defense. Gus Bradley is #26-#31 EVERY YEAR now. It's 100% the defense and coaching.Who the heck cares about last year, or any year in the past for that matter? All that matters is right now, and what can reasonably be expected going forward. Right now the defense is playing good enough to win games if Blake was playing at anything close to a franchise level. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Right now the defense is playing good enough to win games if Blake was playing at anything close to a franchise level.LOL you're joking right? 28 points per game this defense gives up? 330 yards last first half? Even if Bortles played GREAT like last year, the Jags are still just a (5-11) team. It's not rocket science. 2015- 28.1 ppg allowed 2016- 28.0 ppg allowed You're clueless. Quote:Are you Marco Rubio? All you do is repeat yourself even though the first quarter is the Jags ONLY bad quarter. It's embarrassing. Pot meet kettle. Just giving you a taste of your own ineptness. And, btw: The Jags are bad for 3qtrs (10.6 PPG),, not just 1qtr. #32 PPG for 3QTRS OF PLAY. Not my stat,,
Quote:Pot meet kettle. Show me a stat from quarters 2-4 and I bet Jags are a top 15 scoring offense...... I'll bet you $1,000. Shows you're a low information voter reading ESPNs useless stats. Quote:Who the heck cares about last year, or any year in the past for that matter? All that matters is right now, and what can reasonably be expected going forward. Yup. -Defense allowed 6 points in the 2nd half vs Packers (Jags lost) -Defense allowed 6 points in the 2nd half vs Ravens (Jags lost) -Defense allowed 3 points in the 2nd half vs Bears (Jags luckily won) Defense isn't the problem most of this year. The problem is the #32 ranked PPG offense for 3qtrs. We all see it (everyone except for spacecoastjag). We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Yup. You don't pick and choose halfs of play. You look at the overall picture in the real world. What do you for a living? Sales? You make 15 sales in one month and celebrate but only 16 sales the whole YEAR? Man, Jags fans are embarrassingly inept Quote:Show me a stat from quarters 2-4 and I bet Jags are a top 15 scoring offense...... Nope, I refuse to acknowledge anything but the real stat. Just as you refuse to acknowledge garbage time, an inept offense that can't score for 3 qtrs, and the effect an inept offense has on a defense. Nope
Quote:Nope, I refuse to acknowledge anything but the real stat. The stat is irrelevant. It's called an outlier in intelligent people's world. Everyone with a brain knows the Jags offense's ONLY problem quarter is the first quarter......so why is ESPN adding the 2nd and 3rd? For people like you.......sheep We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:LOL you're joking right? 28 points per game this defense gives up? 330 yards last first half?I already called you out for refusing to acknowledge that the defense has been top 5 in yards per play coming into this week. If Blake could help them stay off the field for even a half way reasonable amount of time they would be very good in scoring defense as well. That's not that hard to understand.
Vs Oakland:
Jags 6 points in 2nd qtr Jags 3 points in 3rd qtr Vs Tenn: Jags 0 points in 2nd qtr Jags 8 points in 3rd qtr Yeah,, great 2nd and 3rd qtr stuff there Vs Ravens: -Defense gave up 3 points in the 2nd half -Bortles gave up 3 points in the 2nd half (his fumble in Ravens FG range) -Defense gave up 19 TOTAL -Defense got 3 turnovers in the 4th qtr IN RAVENS TERRITORY (Offense couldn't even get a first down) Yup,, great offense there space.
What you guys are arguing is kinda meaningless. This is really so easy for anyone to see. Its obvious blake either isnt taking his mechanics seriously enough or just isnt capable of fixing them. Either way its bad. Hes a poor decision maker at almost every facet as well. You can see all of this with your eyes you dont need to know about defensive scoring or whatever to see
any of that. Not having a run game is obviously important but really it doesnt matter all that much when were talking about isolated attributes good quarterbacks display and bad ones dont. |
