Quote:Trump cares about minorities, and has a plan to fix the situation of many living in the inner cities. Trump can have a plan, but if you do a lot of research and use fact checking websites, you might find fatal flaws in it based on his inability to do his job as commander in chief. Asked what he would do to help Syrian refugees in Aleppo, all he talked about was taking Assad out of power. He showed no concern for the Syrians who are fleeing the country because of their bad dictator. The Russia part is absolutely dangerous. He says Hillary Clinton wants to go to war against Russia but that is simply not true. Quote:I respect your position and agree with you 99.9%. I was thinking of either writing in a name or just not bothering to show up... until Hillary won stole the democrat nomination. Most people that I speak to or communicate with are on the Right Side of the political spectrum like we are and view the situation the way you and some others participating in this thread are. Though I'm taking a different approach, I respect each of your decisions as they are well thought out. There have been some Presidential elections, including in 2008 and 2012 that I voted for the Republican Nominee reluctantly. There have been others ( 1992 and 1996 ) that I voted for a 3rd Party candidate. For me, there are too many things I'm uncomfortable with Donald Trump to vote for him even knowing that Hillary Clinton is an epic disaster. I'm as against Hillary Clinton as a person can be but my opinion of Donald Trump is on a similar level. This time around, I know that Ted Cruz represents what I think would be best interest of the United States regardless of the fact that he's not on the ballot in a conventional way. If I'm fortunate enough to be around and healthy enough in the days, months, and years to come ( I take nothing for granted- each day is a gift ), I'll be comfortable knowing that I voted for someone who if given the opportunity I'm highly confident would put the U.S. back on the right track.

I can't support either major party because neither supports my highest priority of less government. They just have slightly different opinions about how much more government we need. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

And for a guy wholly undeserving of such a pedestal you have placed him on. You might want to get off the message board and get some real world experience if the proudest moment of your life is voting for a con man.

It will be at least one of my proudest moments. A vote for Trump is a vote to take back our nation and to make America great again. Trump wants to fix the economy by bringing back American jobs, lowering taxes across the board, and by re-negotiating ridiculous trade deals. He's also going to fix our health care system in part by getting rid of the atrocity known as Obamacare. On the other hand, a vote for Hillary is a vote to raise our taxes, to remove our borders, and to take a blind eye toward White House corruption. Actually, a vote for Hillary is really a vote for Tim Kaine since she's going to be impeached.

Though I'm taking a different approach, I respect each of your decisions as they are well thought out. I understand your reasoning and would lave to have a chance to vote for Ted Cruz considering he was my top candidate back when Trump first won the Repub nomination. The thing is, you might as well be throwing away your vote. I hate how that sounds, but you know it's true. With that said, what is it you don't like about Trump? Is it just his mannerisms, as him his overall non-Presidential demeanor? I kind of get that, but it's almost refreshing to see. Trump truly cares about Americans and is going to fix the system. With society so uptight about being politically correct, I keep thinking Trump is exactly what this nation needs right now.

What if I don't believe it's a total disaster today? Our healthcare system has been broken long before this election and it won't be fixed by the next election. Obamacare is a mess. That's not the whole healthcare system. Unless you make more than $143K your taxes will not go up under Hillary. Compared to Trump's tax plan which gets rid of the FDA, deregulates Wall St. and gives record tax breaks to the rich. Our borders will not disappear. I will agree she is a corrupt establishment insider. No argument there. Voting for either of these shady scumbags should be a low point for all voters.

I'm sure you have no problem with the Koch Brothers who are like Soros and spend big to influence elections and political winds.

Quote:There was never any reason for anyone to believe Barack Obama was not qualified to be President. The birther crap was a lie that the state of Hawaii disproved. It amazes me that the idea he was born in Kenya persisted after his long form birth certificate was publicly released. Why did it take eight years for Donald Trump to accept the fact that Obama was born in the United States? You can't justify it. The "birther crap" was started by Hillary Clinton's campaign. Add that to the many facts you aren't aware of.

Quote:In the case of D6, I happen to know that he is a Conservative. He does not feel comfortable voting for the Republican nominee, so is voting his conscience. That means a vote less for Trump. As far as americus, I don't know her political leaning, but she did state that she doesn't want Hillary as President but refuses to vote for Trump, so again, her non-vote for Trump is essentially a vote for Hillary.I just saw this. I am actually Libertarian. I voted for Johnson/Weld yesterday. I really thought about it standing at that voting booth and I just couldn't vote Trump. I know it's seen as a vote for Clinton but I just couldn't circle in that bubble next to Trump/Pence. I refuse to vote for the lesser of two evils if my party is available as a choice. I've done it in the past to no avail and I won't do it again. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I despite Hillary and don't trust Trump (and I'm absolutely terrified of Pence). As a fellow Libertarian, Johnson is the only choice I can make and not be majorly conflicted. We don't always agree on everything, but we agree on this.
Behold man's final mad disgrace.
He chops his nose to spite his face. -Etrigan the Demon Quote:This is exactly why the idea of giving a political newbie the world's most powerful job scares me. You can't trust an average Joe with billions of dollars to work for all American people the right way and at the same time start or join a third war. Average Joe must include Hillary Clinton then considering she lost $6 billion at the State Department as Secretary of State, and nobody has any idea where it went. Someone needs to check the deposit slips at her family slush fund. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Taking it back from the majority that elected these leaders? If you believe the current leaders of this country got where they are because of us small folk then you haven't been paying attention. The political world is like a game of chess where people manipulate and are manipulated to get what they want, whether it's into office or something from those who are in office. Politicians got where they are because of lobbyists, special interest groups, corporations, and others. This whole voting thing is becoming something we all do just to make ourselves feel better, like we've actually contributed, and to an extent we do but we are only able to vote for those who we had no control over in regards to their rise to the position they're in. Have you ever watched House of Cards? In an interview, Kevin Spacey was asked if the show depicts how things actually happen in DC. He said the time he spent there to learn about how to play his role more effectively was a wake up to reality call. He said it was every bit as brutal as portrayed in the show and what they portray is some pretty jacked up stuff. |
