Fowler Jr is a bust

#21

Beside being ineffective on the field he's really stupid, I hate his attitude.

He lacks self control and he showed it in preseason when with the Tampa Bay joint practices he was stonewalled and was ejected because he started fighting. He showed who he was back then and hasn't improved one bit, stupid penalty after stupid penalty througout the season.

Yea let's wait until his 4th year for him to be an above average player. I wish all top 3 picks were this successful!!!!!

Well if a fight breaks out between two ROAR members, we are gonna be glad we have Fowler on our side.

I'm glad we've completely written off a player after their first 10 games in the league.

What I've found is the same people pointing to PFF ratings are the same people who will trash PFF next week.

Quote:So we should move Blake to tight end and Fowler to strongside linebacker because that's how they should be used.

Your right moving a play to a position that plays to their strength is a stupid idea what was I think.

He's good in run support and does his job well, but I'd like some impact plays like sacks, TFLs, forced fumbles, or heaven forbid an interception before I consider the guy elite.

Guess I'm the exception as I think it can be used as a valid tool to look at a player. Is it flawed at times sure but there's a reason people in the NFL use it.

Fowler jr is a rookie playing a new position. Granted, I am a florida fan: I never bought the whole elite pass rusher thing. I thought drafting him was silly. But in fairness he's a rookie. Pass rushers take time.

Top 5 is elite he's not there but he's also not average this year.

I did say he was above average. At this point we are arguing semantics, but I do agree that Cyp is a good player. I agree that maybe Fowler could turn it around in a few years, but then again, why take a guy like that #3 instead of an instant impact player?

Your right lets wait half a season to decide if there busts. The real answer is some where in between.

I said it before and I'll say it again. He is not a pass rusher. The kid looks like a natural LB. He's playing out of position for his skillset.

Because at the time Fowler was drafted we weren't going to win anything letting a player at a weak spot on the defense who had a high ceiling go for a player who could make an instant impact but just be average was the wrong move.

I said from the beginning that if you want a pass rusher that you go with Vic Beasley. Fowler is a role player and can't win without scheme. Beasley sitting at 9.5 sacks and multiple turnovers this season so far.

This coming from a UF fan.

He came into the worst possible scenario, the Jags, as we all know now, was a disaster waiting to happen

I'll ask yet again, why do the people who think he should move to SAM say this other than to try to justify "playing out of position" as a reason for his inability to produce? It doesn't make sense that a guy who is already a very bad athlete would suddenly be better if he is switched to a position that requires more playing in space.

His hands should never be in the ground.
