The fixation with tax returns is a little of a mystery to me too. I understand it's part of the premise that a candidate should have nothing to hide, but if the IRS doesn't find any discrepancies then tax filings should be ignored. It's the same as releasing medical records. It's no one's business.

However, with that being said, Trump did say he would release his tax records and he's now not upholding that statement. Shame on him.
