However, we do have several statements made by Trump and his campaign aides that indicated he wanted to ban Muslims, which is an objective truth. Also, if he were interested in protecting the American people he would put a ban on individuals from countries that actually harbor terrorists. Even now he still refuses do to add those countries. Can you explain why?

Just because it hasn't smacked ya in the face yet, doesn't mean you ignore it. This is a different world than even 10 years ago. Safety and security relies on a proactive approach and listening to intelligence. Terrorists only have to be right once.

What he said is irrelevant to what is actually written in the EO. A Boston judge confirmed this.

 

As for adding more countries, the Press Secretary just confirmed that DHS Secretary Kelly is looking into it, but will not take action until the EO is relieved of its hold.

 

Also, regardless of all this, the President could still legally ban Muslims from immigrating to this country if he wanted, but he isn't. He is taking a different approach and doing it based on high-terror nations.

 

Rand Paul tried to pass a bill that put a hold on 33(!) countries. I would actually prefer Rand Paul's bill over Trump's EO.
