MOVIES

Quote:I'm not a fan of Seth Rogen either. I just like perverted humor. The idea of a Pixar like adult cartoon, just won me over. In fairness, it wasn't nearly as good as I was expecting it to be, but I still enjoyed it. This movie was specifically targeted at people who enjoys shows like South Park. If people don't like South Park, then Sausage Party probably won't be an enjoyable experience.

That probably explains why I didn't like it, to be fair..

I watched The Lobster the other day.

Absolutely one of the strangest movies I've ever seen. I liked it, all though it won't be for everyone.

Just watched the following on netflix:

** Friday - decent but not nearly as good as spike lee stuff like boyz n the hood

** Dope - Ok but not as good as the reviews.  I could see how teenagers like the movie --- leaves ya thinking a bit.

** In the Loop -- netflix has this ranked #42 best movie out there.  It's kind of strange but the English humor is really good at times.

Kind of how I felt about Passengers. I was thinking about watching this mostly for the cast.

I don't remember if I posted this but I watched The Accountant with Ben Affleck. I actually realky liked it. It wasn't spectacular in any way but I really liked it. I rewatched Good Will Hunting not too long ago and it's crazy to see how Ben and Matt Damon's careers have gone. I would never have imagined Ben playing a character like the accountant and NEVER would have imagined Matt as Jason Bourne.

It's interesting to watch an old movie of popular actors to be reminded of where they started.

I caught that this weekend.  It was decent.  Like that the writers used a little imagination instead of the usual plot twists.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I watched Bridge of Spies a couple of nights ago.   Right now, it's free on demand from Comcast.   It was a really great movie.

I watched Into the Wild tonight. The story of Chris McCandles leaving his life behind after graduating from Emory back in 1992. He ended up in Alaska and was found dead from starvation there four months after having left his home. It was long, 2.5 hours, but it was a good movie if you understand why he did what he did instead of only looking at him as a kid who seemed to have everything and, according to some, arrogantly walked away from it all to have no responsibility. The story is far deeper than that.

Now that I've cancelled my free HBO, CineMax, Showtime...etc been starting to go through everything I DVR'ed.

Watched The Bucket List on Friday night, followed by Blazing Saddles.  Kind of an odd twin bill.

Did anyone out there see The Martian? If so, what did you think?

No spoilers please, just wondering if you thought it was worth watching or not. Thanks.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
