Quote:Bo Jackson weighed 230 and ran a 4.13That's Bo Jackson...no one is saying LF is one of the best athletes to ever live. We show less advertisements to registered users. But that's just me.
McCaffrey's footwork and ability to open his hips in a turn are seriously impressive
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Quote:McCaffrey's footwork and ability to open his hips in a turn are seriously impressive He's my favorite back in this class. Quote:So what does the broad jump mean? is that to measure how muh yardage they can jump into? Is there any other drills you wanna take at the most absolute basic meaning or is it just the jumps It's a measure of athleticism and/or explosion, but it's not an indicator of how you play football. No one drill is an indicator of how well they play their position. I'm not sure if this is your first combine (you act like it) but combine does little to move the needle for scouts. It mostly only confirms or disproves work they've already done.

Quote:McCaffrey's footwork and ability to open his hips in a turn are seriously impressive Play style wise reminds me of Reggie Bush. But not quite as explosive or strong. I think he could easily succeed ala Bush with the Lions

Fournettes tape repeatedly shows him not getting to speed until the second level or when he gets a head start from a toss play, thats a concern with his *explosiveness* he does poorly in drills that measure *explosiveness* Its not like i thought he was bulletproof yesterday and all of a sudden hes bad because he cant jump. Like you said it only confirms or disproves. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
McCaffrey with the great routes and hands. Dude is a matchup nightmare. He and Ivory would be a good duo.
one more time if you didnt hear me all the way up on that pseudo high horse of yours
*the jump drills directly relate to the concerns with his play*
what's with everyone acting like a 240 lb fournette running a 4.51 is bad? That's extremely impressive
Quote:You guys actually think these gms are looking at these drills and thinking "man his vertical isnt very good, how is he gonna hurdle linebackers a handful of times a year effectively?" No. They think about the explosion from his lower body...not hurdles.
Shock the world

Quote:Yeah no [BAD WORD REMOVED]. Fournettes tape repeatedly shows him not getting to speed until the second level or when he gets a head start from a toss play, thats a concern with his *explosiveness* 2 words... Lesean Mccoy go look up his combine, it was considered AWFUL.. yet he is the most explosive RB in the NFL, both in short area quickness and burst, and in long speed
I'm on the Fournette hype train right now. If we take Fournette (or Cook) do you think Ivory and Yeldon both stick around?
Quote:On a hilarious note, McCaffrey struggled to even do 10 reps on the bench press. Now however much stock you wanna put into that in terms of the NFL, feel free, but as a dude who spends a lot of time in the gym, yikes, Christian. how is this possible? dude is JACKED... that doesn't even make sense to be honest
also I am not saying I would take either of these RB's at 4... but just saying Fournette's time was only a good thing for him, not a bad

Quote:2 words... Lesean MccoyI dont know what leseans college tape said, i didnt care about the draft then. purely judging lesean off his combine drills is obviously a mistake just like it would be to do with leonard. But ive seen leonard and i just dont really like him.
Quote:how is this possible? dude is JACKED... that doesn't even make sense to be honest eh, 10 is enough. he obviously realizes that his receiving skills are what separate him from the rest so it's probably a good thing that he keeps working on his route running and receiving skills.
