***Official 2017 NFL Combine Thread***
|
Hi, Jaguars fans!
![]() 2017 NFL Combine begins Tuesday morning, February 28, through March 3, held again at Lucas Oil Stadium, home field of the Colts. No injuries, ands good luck to all of these young men, as they try to increase their talent stock before the annual NFL Colllege Draft later in May. ![]() http://www.nflcombine.net http://www.nfl.com/combine http://www.nfl.com/network/combine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_Scouting_Combine We show less advertisements to registered users. Mods, please lock this thread. The Combine is two days away.
I can't believe this. The draft is April 27-29. Anybody who knows anything about the combine knows that too. The draft was in May one year because of a site scheduling conflict; otherwise it has always been in April.
Also, none of the guys are student/athletes anymore. They stop taking classes to prepare for the draft.

Here is something most people forget about: the draft coin toss. I think tomorrow is when we find out which pick the Colts get.

Quick question: I never went to University (which is what we call College here), and I'm not an American National BUT isn't graduation usually around May? So anyone who's not taking classes but haven't graduated yet are still technically students, no? ![]() 80% of what I talk about is nonesense.. the other 25% is made up statistics... So anyone who's not taking classes but haven't graduated yet are still technically students, no? They are called colleges here too. University is a term many of them use in their names, but they are all colleges regardless. It seems weird to me when people say graduation is in May because when my sisters had their commencements in early June. However, most if not all colleges switched from quarters to semesters, so the date has moved up since then.
Quote:They are called colleges here too. University is a term many of them use in their names, but they are all colleges regardless. What I mean is, generally speaking, you call it College and we call it University. We leave school at 16 years old (in some cases 15 depending on when in the year you're born). We have College between age 16 & 18 then University thereafter. College isn't obligatory so you can technically leave school and go straight into full-time work/career/apprenticeships. For full-time work you need to be 16, though. Regarding Graduation, I'm sure the date varies anyway.. but I would consider someone a student until they've 'officially' left education. It's a trivial and unimportant thing on the face of it, I'm sure you'll agree. ![]() 80% of what I talk about is nonesense.. the other 25% is made up statistics...
