think there is any chance Engram will be there in the 3rd?

 

He's such an accomplished pass catcher that he's practically a second round lock, but in such a deep class and with him lacking size there's a very slight chance he falls to the early 3rd. What he needs is for someone like Shaheen to surpass him on draft boards.

Happens a good bit for QBs.  Just hard to say how these teams feel bout the QBs in the draft.   

There are QB desperate teams at 1, 2, and 3. They would have to be bad enough to be passed on top 3, yet they'll still be in such demand that multiple teams behind us will be fighting to trade up ahead of the Jets and also the Titans because they can't risk another team jumping them after they trade to 5.

If this was next year I could see it because there are 3 really good QBs. I think people should expect DLine with the 1st pick we have. It's the most realstic and we will be getting a day 1 difference maker.

Garrett will be gone with one of the first 2 picks.  I think Allen is out of the question with our pick or any in the to 4 with his arthritis.  Really the only guy I see is possible is Thomas.  I think it really depends on if they feel he is worth a top 4 pick and can they pay Fowler, Thomas, and Yannick when the rookie contracts come up.  I don't believe they have gave up on Fowler like some here think.  Not to mention SS is probably our weakest position right now behind G and Adams might be the best player in the draft

At 4 I am still in the Allen, Thomas, Adams, Fournette realm. However, I hope we can trade down the teens and take McCaffrey.

You can never have too many pass rushers and if our problem ends up being paying them, I want that problem. That means they're all a beast and that's can only be seen as a good thing.

I've been saying he goes to the back of the acceptable tier list for like 6 weeks now. Back far enough that it's guaranteed someone I like more will be there instead.

Thats not my first or 2nd, I was just bringing it up.  If they think Thomas will be an elite end than draft him.  As much as I like him I dont think he will be as good for drafting a top 5 pick.  I think Adams will be the best SS in the league in a few years which is why I would draft him and the better player.  I wouldnt draft a lesser player just because the position is a little more valuable.  Really just BPA for me
