***Official 2017 NFL Combine Thread***

Quote:I'm fine with this. We're talking about a playmaking SS who is thought to be the best tackler in the draft. If he ran a 4.3 with a 40" vert we wouldn't be talking about him at SS.

With that said, how did Hooker and Lattimore do?
I think Lattimore killed it today.

Quote:Adams with a 31.5 inch vert..... eww. And he ran mid 4.5.

Solomon Thomas. Come on home.
What's wrong with running a 4.5?  He has great closing speed on tape and 4.5 isn't slow by any means.

What'd you expect his 40 to be?

He's a 4.5 guy.

He was being touted as one of the best safeties to come out in a long time. Jumping 31 inches and running a slow 4.56...... That's not a world beater.

The 40 isn't concerning for Adams...the vertical isn't encouraging though.

Yea the Browns and Titans picked a good draft to have multiple picks.

Imagine they take Lattimore/Adams/Hooker at 5 and John Ross with their second pick.

lol at everyone who was thinking Adams was some kind of revelation as a safety. He is not going 4th overall.

It's not slow.  You don't have to have 4.4 speed to be an elite SS.  Landon Collins dominated college and had a pro bowl season last year and ran mid 4.5 also.  If someone was high on Adams before this, their stance really shouldn't be changing all that much based on his combine.  The 31 inches isn't great, but I haven't seen any issues with his tape that indicates an issue with speed or jumping or acceleration.

Adams looking mediocre? But this can't be, he's a generational talent. Hooker still getting drafted higher than him without a combine.

4.5 is great for a SS.

Kam Chancellor ran a 4.69 basically a 4.7, his vertical was 32.

Half an inch better than Adams, and people are gonna complain.

Adams will be way worth the 4th pick. If anyone gets him past 5 is getting a steal.

Ew. Almost the exact same as Landon Collins at the combine. What a bum.

They play opposite Safety positions.

Hooker could never play SS.

We don't need a FS.

Here come the excuses. Collins wasn't considered a top 5 pick.
