There has never been a cornerback drafted in the first round who tested lower than 23rd percentile SPARQ.

Tabor was 6th (!) percentile.

I'd be shocked if he lasted to our 4th round pick. That would mean he either came off like the biggest idiot ever in all his interviews or something else happened we don't know about. I don't see the thing 3 years ago affecting him that badly. If the video hadn't surfaced he'd go in the first round

Even if you throw the sparq out this guy is decent in coverage, but gets away with grabbing jerseys a lot when he gets beat and is probably one of the worst/least willing tacklers I've seen.

There was a Dalvin Cook run where Tabor just halfheartedly threw himself at Cook's legs. Obviously he did not make that tackle.

It was actually a pretty bad outing for a lot of the big name corners. Wilson, Jones, White, Tankersley, and especially Tabor all underperformed.

Zach also said he was lacking Lattimore's SS time at the moment but he is probably going to be third.

I honest to god do not understand people's facination here with Adams. A lot of you are the same people who swore up and down Jabrill Peppers was top 5 pick too when I said he wasn't even a top 15 player. Adams is a freaking safety, and not even one of the best safety prospects in the past decade. The want for him here is insane.

Adams is a concensus top ten pick by all the people who get paid to evaluate players. So I don't really understand what you're all up in a wad about?

I didn't say he wasn't a top 10 pick. My issue is how many people here are clamoring for him like he is a difference maker on a defense. He's not.

Any top 10 pick is projected to be a difference maker. So when everyone is projecting him to be a top ten pick, in turn they are projecting him to be a difference maker. I'd go as far to say that at least 95% of people who follow the draft process wold say that he his going to be a difference maker in the NFL. So I think you're on the losing aide of the argument, no need to get you're feathers ruffled just because you're in the extreme minority. It's absolutely not just people on this board who are clamoring for the kid.

That's just wrong. Have you seen him play? The guy lives around the ball. He is a violent tackling machine. That's like saying Kam Chancellor isn't a difference maker. Hell, I'd go as far to say his ceiling is HIGHER than Kam. He's the next Woodson.

The thought of him and Ramsey together is seriously amazing.

As in Charles Woodson?

If that's the case, then there should be plenty other prospects at more premium positions for us at four who are also top 10 picks.

I understand the like of the prospect(s) at S.  I just don't understand the rabid desire to take one of them at 4.  There are plenty who will do a fine job that aren't going to be selected at four.  I'd rather have a premium position there where you aren't going to find fine players later.

I doubt many are moving Tre White down their boards after yesterday's performance but I hope they do so we can nab him at #35.

A few of the guys he named actually had solid days at the combine.

Agreed. That was partially my point.  He's clearly referring to their sparq figures and not their actual performance.

Tre White's performance in drills confirmed his game film in my eyes and it's why he likely won't last to our second round selection. His sparq number doesn't sway me and I doubt it's swaying many scouts or GMs either.

Tabor was the only one who did worse than I thought he would in drills. Tankersley showed some stiffness and footwork issues, but that's been a knock on him for a while.

Agreed. Tabor looked pretty bad in the drills. I wish he looked bad enough to slip to round 3, but i just dont see that happening.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Those scores are all based on weight adjusted combine numbers. None of them had solid days.
